NexBloc Adds .NEX and .ARTIST Decentralized Top-Level Domains to its Arsenal of Web 3.0 dDNS Offerings

NexBloc today announced the creation of several new decentralized top-level domains (dTLD) including .NEX and .ARTIST. This adds to the expanding list of domains that are being developed on multiple blockchains and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) such as Polygon, XDC and Hedera. The “Genesis” Collection launched on April 19 on the Opensea.io marketplace.

“2,022” is somewhat of a representation of the number six (2+2+2), which is said to be the number of unconditional love and selflessness. Venus (named after the Roman Goddess of love and beauty) is the sixth planet in the solar system in terms of size and mass. And the 0 comes in because the stars aligned considering Venusverse launched as a company in 2022.

According to Venusverse CEO and co-founder, Janelle Chalouhi, the beautiful, eclectic and diverse 2,022 art pieces “represent women from across the world, bringing us all together under one collection.”

Chalouhi described to Ontario-based digital artist and designer Fatima Gharaibeh her vision behind representing diversity among women from across the world as well as the properties and layers she wanted to include in the collection and Gharaibeh brought the vision to life in a beautiful way. That is how the first 114 NFTs were first created, 104 of which are animated. The properties were then used to generate the remaining 1,908 NFTs through generative art.

“To me this was a nod to the new digital era we have entered into, where we use tech to enhance the work we do and hopefully to do good,” Chalouhi said.

Collectors who buy into the Genesis Collection of 2,022 NFTs will gain membership access to the Venusverse community, and they’ll also be granted peace of mind thanks to UREEQA.

BCypher and NexBloc Partner to Bring Advanced Cryptocurrency Transaction Compliance to Blockchain DNS

NexBloc inc. today announced a partnership with BCypher, the blockchain intelligence company, to deploy their transaction monitoring capabilities for ongoing risk management within the NexBloc blockchain domain naming system (bDNS).

BCypher is a leader in blockchain analytics whose platform allows for AML verification, risk analysis, transaction monitoring, and clustering of addresses across any blockchain or token network. NexBloc will use BCypher to ensure a bDNS that is actively aware of risk factors associated with customers of its subscription services and buyers of domains.

NexBloc does not censor the use of domains. Still, it does maintain a policy of actively ensuring that bad actors are limited from using its services for nefarious activities by blocking access to initially buying domains and services. Blockchain domains are NFTs that get transferred to a customer’s wallet. Once that transfer is complete, NexBloc has no way to control usage except for additional services that may be used to make the domains work, such as pinning and storage solutions.

Harnessing the Power of Blockchain to Build a Secure Future for Veterans, Attend ‘Leave No Veteran Behind’ on May 12

The VetCoin Foundation 501c3, a non-profit organization working with the veteran community to provide them with a more stable and secure future by using blockchain technology, is organizing a one-day event called ‘Leave No Veteran Behind’ in Tampa, Florida, on May 12, 2022. This event aims to bring veterans under one roof and explore new options in the Web3/Metaverse, a market expected to grow to $8 Trillion in the next decade.

With National Military Appreciation Month celebrated every year in May, the event is appropriately timed to serve as a platform to educate the veterans about possible solutions that blockchain could offer to build a bright future. The event organizers will also recognize a local veteran-owned business with a business incubator grant, and all attendees will be given a free NFT as a token of appreciation.
