depa Announces Record-Breaking Success of gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025, Generating Over THB 1.2 Billion in Economic Value

The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) has officially announced the unprecedented success of gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025, marking a historic milestone for the Southeast Asian gaming industry. Held from October 16-19 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, this strategic alliance between gamescom asia, the Asia-Pacific’s premier B2B exhibition, and Thailand Game Show, Southeast Asia’s largest B2C event, has firmly positioned Thailand as the region’s new gaming industry hub.

The event shattered previous records, generating a combined economic value exceeding THB 1.2 billion. It attracted 206,159 visitors to the Entertainment Area and welcomed 5,590 business professionals, developers, and investors from 81 countries in the Business Area. These figures underscore Thailand’s transformation from a robust consumer market into a global “Game Provider,” capable of offering end-to-end services ranging from content creation to full-scale production.

The event served as a catalyst for international collaboration, featuring participation from over 18 countries and regions, including Japan, South Korea, China, the US, and Australia. The exhibition floor hosted industry giants such as Bandai Namco, CAPCOM, HoYoverse, KONAMI, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Ubisoft, Xbox, Epic Games, and Xsolla.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of depa, emphasized that the event’s success reflects the strength of Thailand’s gaming ecosystem, currently valued at THB 35 billion. To sustain this growth, the government is advancing the Gaming Industry Promotion Act, designed to systematically enhance investment incentives, intellectual property protection, and talent development.

“With high-speed internet coverage exceeding 98% nationwide, stable 5G connectivity, and a domestic market of over 40 million gamers, we offer the ideal environment for investment,” stated Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon. “We are supporting this with concrete incentives, including Smart Visas for tech experts, tax exemptions for studio establishment, and streamlined ease-of-doing-business measures.”

The overwhelming response from global partners affirms Thailand’s potential not just as a market, but as a production base rich in high-quality human resources specializing in Animation, CG, VFX, and Game Development. The success of gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 demonstrates Thailand’s readiness to drive the digital economy forward, creating long-term sustainability and opening global doors for Thai entrepreneurs.

Think Business, Think Hong Kong strengthens Italy-Hong Kong ties and opens new path for Asian collaboration

– Over 1,000 participants explored rising opportunities in Asia

  • Some 760 participants attended Milan symposium to explore opportunities in finance, innovation, supply chain and creative industries
  • A flagship event featuring high-level dialogues and more than 260 on-site business matching meetings connected Hong Kong and Italian companies

Milan, Italy, Nov 28, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) –  The Think Business, Think Hong Kong (TBTHK) signature promotion organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) was held on 27 November in Milan to promote bilateral trade and investment with Italy.

Returning to Italy for the first time since 2014, the TBTHK event attracted over 1,000 participants. The TBTHK symposium was held at Palazzo Mezzanotte – home of the Italian Stock Exchange – and attended by some 760 participants, reaffirming the strong and growing relationship between Hong Kong and Italy. Over 240 leaders of the Italian, European and Hong Kong business communities joined the Hong Kong Dinner.

TBTHK Milan gathered over 90 delegates from Hong Kong, including government officials, business and creative industry leaders, financial and professional services providers, investors and start-up entrepreneurs, as well as executives from Chinese Mainland companies based in Hong Kong for a day of dialogue, networking and partnership building with Italian companies keen to expand into Asia. The event highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a superconnector and super value-adder, enabling both Hong Kong and mainland enterprises to go global and seize opportunities in Italy and across Europe.

At the symposium’s Opening Session, Paul Chan, Hong Kong SAR Government Financial Secretary, and Prof Frederick Ma, HKTDC Chairman delivered remarks. Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, delivered a video speech.

In his opening remarks, Mr Chan said: “For long, Hong Kong and Italy have much in common. We share a passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and elegance. Italian style has captured our hearts. Our two cities (Hong Kong and Milan) are gateways connecting continents, blending Eastern and Western ingenuity. And we both thrive on openness, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.”

Mr Chan mentioned that the economic partnership between Hong Kong and Italy is flourishing and remarkably diverse: “In 2024, bilateral merchandise trade reached €7.2 billion. Some 200 Italian companies, from world-beating brands to leading players in banking, insurance, logistics and chocolate, have their regional headquarters, offices or operations in Hong Kong.”

In his welcome remarks, Prof Ma said: “At the HKTDC, facilitating partnerships is at the core of what we do. Partnerships lead to innovation. And innovation drives growth and expansion. We help businesses, large and small, realise their growth and expansion plans, wherever they may be – China, Asia and beyond.”

Prof Ma added: “Renowned as one of the world’s leading international financial hubs, many opportunities await Italian businesses in Hong Kong – in traditional and newer sectors. Just like Italy, Hong Kong is focused on I&T. This covers fintech, greentech, AI and smart city development, the creative sector and more. I see great potential for collaboration.”

Mr Valentini said: “Italian companies that have been present in Hong Kong for many years now play a leading role in sectors such as fashion, luxury, design, food, manufacturing and logistics, and are also paving the way in more innovative fields.”

Mr Valentini added that Hong Kong is an ideal platform for Italian companies that wish to grow in the Chinese Mainland and the wider Asian region, while Italy is moving to further enhance its attractiveness to new investment. The relationship between Italy and Hong Kong is built on decades of exchange and close ties. Now is the time to turn this experience into new, successful partnerships for the benefit of Italian businesses and entrepreneurs.

High-level exchanges highlight new areas of collaboration

The plenary session explored global economic trends, the evolving role of Hong Kong’s financial markets and the deep integration with the Chinese Mainland that continues to provide international companies, including Italian ones, with a competitive advantage in accessing Asia. The session brought together leading figures from the international business community to discuss how Hong Kong continues to serve as a strategic gateway to Asia.

Chaired by Hans Michael Jebsen, Chairman of the Hong Kong-Europe Business Council and Jebsen Group, the discussion featured insights from Bernard Chan, Chairman of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and President of Asia Financial Holdings Limited; Bonnie Chan, CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited; Claudio de Bedin, Partner at Justin Chow & de Bedin Solicitors LLP; Fabio De Rosa, Head of Global Transaction Banking, Banco BPM; and Alex Zhavoronkov, Founder and CEO of Insilico Medicine.

Reflecting the evolving priorities of both economies, the five thematic sessions covered four strategic areas. The Digital Trade and Finance session, co-organised with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, explored how technology is reshaping cross-border trade and financial flows. It also showcased how platforms, such as distributed ledger-based trade solutions and commercial data exchange systems, are enhancing efficiency, transparency and access to financing – offering new pathways for Italy-Hong Kong trade collaboration.

The Innovation and Technology session, supported by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, focused on smart city innovation and the rapid rise of AI-powered technologies in Asia, illustrating how Italian companies can engage with Hong Kong’s burgeoning innovation ecosystem.

After a networking luncheon, the Global Supply Chain session, co-organised with Invest Hong Kong, examined how Hong Kong’s capital markets and corporate treasury frameworks are driving transformation in global supply chains. The discussion highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a hub for supply chain digitalisation, green logistics and advanced manufacturing partnerships.

Two Creative and Design sessions were held. One brought together celebrated architects and designers from Hong Kong and Italy, including Steve Leung, Founder of Steve Leung Design Group; Andrea Ponti, Founder and Design Director of Ponti Design Studio Limited; and Dr Rocco Yim, Principal of Rocco Design Architects Associates Limited. The second one, co-organised with the Hong Kong Design Centre and Hong Kong Designers Association, explored how Hong Kong and Italy – two global centres of creativity – can co-design new opportunities in architecture, lifestyle, luxury and cultural innovation. Participants discussed how the fusion of Italian craftsmanship and Hong Kong’s cultural vibrancy can unlock new markets across Asia.

Networking and strategic dialogue reinforce long-term ties

Alongside the symposium, TBTHK facilitated over 260 on-site business matching meetings, one-on-one consultations and dedicated networking opportunities. During the event, participants also browsed the InnoVenture Salon and Business Support Zone, an exhibition area featuring over 20 exhibitors from Hong Kong, including start-ups and representatives from government agencies, accounting firms, corporate services companies, logistics specialists, legal firms and many other sectors. The zones provided a practical platform for Italian companies to connect with Hong Kong-based experts, pursue innovative services, solutions and technologies and strengthen cross-border collaboration.

Following the symposium, the Hong Kong Dinner was held at Palazzo Parigi. It was attended by over 240 business leaders, government officials and representatives of the Hong Kong and Italian business communities, further promoting bilateral economic and cultural exchanges.

World’s first ever spiral escalator renewal project conducted at a commercial facility in Mexico

Retaining the original curved design while contributing to improving the building’s value through maintained safety and enhanced energy efficiency

TOKYO, Nov 27, 2025 – (JCN Newswire) – Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions Corporation (MEBS, Head Office: Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo; President: Iwao Oda) today announced that Mitsubishi Electric de Mexico S.A. de C.V. (MELMEX), which is responsible for elevator and escalator sales in Mexico, completed the renewal of one of the spiral escalators at the Liverpool department store in the Centro Santa Fe shopping mall in Santa Fe, Mexico on October 15. This project was the first-ever spiral escalator renewal project conducted anywhere in the world.

Spiral escalator after the renewal
Spiral escalator after the renewal

Spiral escalators, which are curved escalators that trace an arc, are manufactured exclusively by MEBS. The unit that was renewed this time is one of two spiral escalators in Mexico delivered by the company in 1992 that remain in operation today. Elevators and escalators undergo continuous and appropriate maintenance in order to sustain and restore their functionality. However, the risks associated with deterioration through aging and the number of discontinued or unavailable parts increase over time. Through this renewal, the company replaced key components at an optimal timing, enhancing the escalator’s safety, reliability, and comfort. In addition, by applying new features and designs, the project improved its energy efficiency, and aesthetic value. The company will pass on the insights and know-how gained during this renewal to the next generation and continue to respond effectively to customers’ future needs for spiral escalator renewals.

Construction and Features of the Renewed Product

1) The world’s first ever renewal of a spiral escalator, contributing to the product’s continued safe and secure operation

– The team carried out the world’s first renewal of a spiral escalator, a product manufactured exclusively by MEBS.

– Several major parts (the control panel, drive unit, safety devices, etc.) were replaced to ensure the continued safe and secure operation of this spiral escalator, which is a central feature of the building.

2) Achieving improved energy efficiency, and aesthetic appearance by applying the latest functions and design

– An automatic operation stationary in stand-by function has been newly introduced. A sensor detects the presence of escalator users and automatically stops operation when no users are detected. This reduces energy consumption when the escalator is unoccupied.

– By replacing the existing polycarbonate interior panels with glass panels, the renewal will reduce aging-related effects such as photodegradation, which is a characteristic of plastic materials, and improve the escalator’s aesthetic appearance.

– By enhancing the escalator’s energy conservation, and aesthetic appearance, the renewal will contribute to increasing the value of the customer’s building.

3) Achieving a safe and high-quality renewal by overcoming construction conditions and structural issues with highly skilled techniques

– Although the facility remained in operation and the working space was limited, which made it difficult to secure room for removing the existing components, the work was completed by repeatedly repositioning and reconfiguring the on-site lifting crane and gantry**.

– During the installation of the interior panels and decorative parts, the spiral escalator’s unique curved design makes it easy for slippage and gaps to occur. To overcome this problem, skilled workers drew on their experience to make fine adjustments down to the millimeter, such as cutting parts on site.

– Through this renewal work, the company has strengthened its ability to meet customers’ future renewal needs by reliably handing down to and sharing with the next generation the advanced, highly specialized technologies and skills related to renewal of spiral escalators.

** Unlike conventional construction or overhead cranes, this is a self-supporting, lightweight crane device designed for handling light loads. It features an aluminum frame for easy installation and relocation, and can be operated without relying on the building’s structural elements.

Future Development

Since MEBS developed the world’s first spiral escalator in 1985, MEBS has manufactured a total of 111 units. Some of these existing spiral escalators are now 30 to 40 years old, and a certain level of demand for renewing these units to continue in future years. Spiral escalators, in particular, require extremely specialized technology and expertise from design to manufacture and installation due to their unique curved structure. In addition, unlike new spiral escalator installations conducted in the past, this renewal project was the company’s first attempt to dismantle, install, and adjust existing parts that can still be used, such as the trusses that form the escalator’s framework. In this project, a skilled engineer who has successfully installed spiral escalators in Japan and all over the world took the lead and completed the work while handing down his or her expertise to the next generation. MEBS will continue to provide its one-of-a-kind spiral escalators together with high-quality maintenance and renewal services so that these machines can continue to be used safely and comfortably around the world.

HONG KONG, Nov 26, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), co-organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), DesignInspire returns from 3 to 6 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The opening day will feature an exclusive VIP preview, while the following three days will be open to industry professionals and the public free of charge.

This year’s DesignInspire runs under the theme “Where Connections Spark Inspiration”, bringing together diverse creative forces from around the world. Meanwhile, renowned international designer Alan Chan and emerging artist Chilai Howard have each designed cross – cultural showcases in BOTTEGA HONG KONG and TINY STUDIO, presenting a creative dialogue between east and west. “Through a series of exhibitions and networking activities, we aim to foster deeper collaboration between the creative, design and business sectors – connecting in particular with potential buyers from the hospitality, real estate, luxury dining and cultural tourism industries – and to unlock new business opportunities powered by design. Immerse in creativity from leading design brand

Internationally renowned lifestyle event Maison&Objet returns alongside DesignInspire under a refreshed identity, Maison&Objet Intérieurs Hong Kong 2025*, bringing together 16 internationally celebrated designers and curators and over 200 brands, artisans and artists to create a world-class platform for creative dialogue. Centred on the theme “Crossroads”, the 3 core sections deliver essential design elements: “Design Factory” brings Inspiration“Design Showcase” leads visitors into a path of Discovery, while Encounters will happen inside “Le Club” a business lounge dedicated for design players.

Design Factory, an immersive pavilion will focus on sustainability, material innovation and cultural storytelling, offering visionary design solutions for the contemporary world and will feature four distinctive curatorial projects by forward-thinking creative teams, such as Belgian designer Lionel Jadot and Thai bamboo artist Korakot Aromdee. Another pavilion, Design Showcase, will extend Maison&Objet’s creative footprint to seven design capitals and present diverse expressions of design excellence that address the evolving needs of multifunctional living, workspace and hospitality environments. Featured creators include renowned French designer and sculptor Hubert Le Gall; renowned Hong Kong architect and interior designer Steve Leung; and Paul Bonlarron, recipient of the Maison&Objet Design Showcase Award 2025, co-presented by France’s Mobilier National and Maison&Objet.

Design masters present selection blending Hong Kong and Italian styles

Hong Kong’s design vision also shines with originality and creativity. BOTTEGA HONG KONG, designed by international design master Alan Chan along with UNVEIL and Su Chang Design Research Office, draws inspiration from Italy’s alimentari (boutique grocery stores) and Hong Kong’s local “si dor” corner shop culture. The pavilion’s structure resembles an opened giant carton, blending raw elegance with futuristic minimalism. Its interior, drawing on the shop traditions of both Italy and Hong Kong, features 15 brands from the two places showcasing furniture, lifestyle goods and design collectibles. Participants include Hong Kong creative icon anothermountainman; Didi Ng, the first Hong Kong finalist of the LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize; Italian furniture design powerhouses Moroso and Minotti; and Venetian glass artist Lucia Massari, celebrated for her creations for Dolce & Gabbana Casa.

A standout highlight is the collaboration between Francesco Maglia, Italy’s century-old handmade umbrella brand, and Hong Kong heritage umbrella manufacturer Leung So Kee, creating a bespoke umbrella adorned with the skylines of Hong Kong and Italy – a perfect representation of the craftsmanship dialogue between the two places. Separately, Alan Chan reimagines Giorgio Armani’s 2010 gown with Hong Kong’s old “Chung Leung Ching Kee” feather duster, blending folk craftsmanship with Milanese couture. This fusion celebrates heritage, transcending borders to honour artisanal legacies.

TINY STUDIO, curated by emerging artist Chilai Howard, brings together 12 design collectives from Hong Kong and Italy. Within 12 individual studios, artists present cross-disciplinary works blending design, art and technology, offering their personal interpretations of the two cultures. Inspired by Hong Kong’s iconic street stalls from the 1980s and 1990s, the exhibition pays homage to the city’s vibrant street culture. Its kinetic roof moves gently like waves, creating a fluid visual rhythm. Visitors can explore interactive experiences encompassing digital art, music creation, sculpture, fragrance design, tattoo illustration and live weaving demonstrations, immersing themselves in the creative synergy between Italy and Hong Kong. Highlights include a collaborative sculpture by Hong Kong artist Danny Lee Chin-fai and Italian sculptor Francesca Bernardini; an audiovisual piece co-created by acclaimed music producer Edward Chan and Kelly Cheuk and Kwokin from the music video and visual production studio (Re); and a showcase of selected works by illustrator Pen So.

Global design brands showcase at the exhibition

DesignInspire continues to serve as a catalyst for international business and cooperation. The event welcomes global pavilions from countries and regions including the Chinese Mainland, Czechia, Macao and Taiwan, offering audiences a kaleidoscope of design perspectives and cultural dialogue. The Czech Pavilion will celebrate the world-famous Bohemian glass tradition, showcasing exquisite artistry and creativity. The SHOP Zone will gather curated design and art pieces available for collection and purchase, while Hong Kong fragrance brand Floriography joins as DesignInspire’s first official “Scent Partner”, bringing a sensory layer of Hong Kong’s olfactory aesthetics to the fair.

Several leading Hong Kong design institutions will also participate at DesignInspire. The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) will present student works and its Motifx project featuring home décor combining elements of traditional Chinese motifs and contemporary aesthetics. The Hong Kong Design Centre will showcase over 200 DFA Design for Asia Award-winning pieces, demonstrating the city’s design excellence. Local exhibitors will also unveil new designs, including GERI, an intelligent textile technology company, which will collaborate with graphic design master Kan Tai-keung to launch a new series of smart handbags, debuting at the fair as a seamless fusion of innovation and craftsmanship.

During the exhibition, the InnoTalks series will feature 14 sessions of inspiring dialogue, bringing together internationally renowned designers and industry experts to explore forward-looking topics such as creative collectibles, IP development, AI applications and inclusive design. The programme will offer participants valuable practical insights and industry perspectives, while providing opportunities to expand professional networks and stay ahead of the latest trends and collaboration opportunities in the creative sector.

To further inspire public interest in design and art, DesignInspire will offer a programme of creative workshops covering multi-sensory creation, art-tech integration, sustainable design and craftsmanship, allowing participants to experience the beauty of creative exploration at first hand.

In addition, three other key events – the Business of IP Asia Forum, Entrepreneur Day and Start-up Express: International Edition 2025 – will be held concurrently at the HKCEC on 4 and 5 December, providing broader business networking and matching opportunities. Participants can also engage in one-on-one business matching sessions connecting design service companies with innovative enterprises from across the region to explore new partnerships.

PlayLah Sets a New Standard for Casual Mobile Entertainment With Its Global Launch

SINGAPORE, Nov 25, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) – On November 25, 2025, PlayLah, a product of VOLCANO ENTERTAINMENT PTE. LTD., officially launched its new entertainment-focused casual gaming platform, enabling players to enjoy fast, stress-free mini-games anytime and anywhere.

The arrival of PlayLah marks a significant moment in the global casual gaming landscape. In an era where mobile entertainment is increasingly defined by convenience, speed, and simplicity, PlayLah positions itself as a dedicated hub for instant enjoyment. Built from the ground up to match the habits of modern players, it offers a seamless entertainment experience designed for the scattered moments of everyday life. Whether someone wants to relax during a short break, unwind after work, or simply fill a few idle minutes, PlayLah provides a space where fun is always one tap away.

A Fresh Take on Casual Gaming

Mobile gaming has gone through several transformations in the last decade. There was a time when players favored large-scale titles with elaborate content and heavy progression systems. Yet the reality of daily life has shifted. More users now prefer games that deliver pleasure quickly, without demanding commitment or long hours. This behavioral shift is particularly visible across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, where busy routines leave limited time for lengthy entertainment sessions.

PlayLah identifies this trend and responds with a platform engineered entirely around instant play. Every title available on the app is designed with straightforward mechanics that are easy to grasp within seconds. The gameplay loops are intentionally compact, allowing players to enjoy meaningful fun without any mental burden. This approach enables PlayLah to stand out amid an industry full of complex systems and resource-heavy titles, reminding users that joy can be simple, direct, and accessible.

An Ever-Growing Library of Mini-Games

One of the strengths of PlayLah lies in its diverse collection of mini-games. Unlike traditional single-title apps, PlayLah functions as a curated catalogue where each game offers a different style of entertainment. The selection covers reflex challenges, timing tests, puzzle solving, obstacle runs, casual action, and many other micro-genres that appeal to players of varying preferences.

The essence of every game in PlayLah is clarity. Players are not required to memorize rules or understand complicated user interfaces. Each game introduces its objective immediately, letting players jump into action without hesitation. This simplicity does not diminish enjoyment. Instead, it enhances it by maximizing accessibility and minimising barriers to entry. Even players with minimal gaming experience can pick up a game and start having fun instantly.

The continuous expansion of the game library also ensures that PlayLah remains fresh over time. New games are added progressively, giving users more content to explore and revisit. This steady growth contributes to long-term engagement, as players have multiple reasons to return and discover what is new each week.

Smooth Performance and User-Centric Design

Performance is a critical part of the PlayLah experience. Many mobile games suffer from long loading times, heavy assets, and battery drain. PlayLah addresses these issues through deliberate technical optimization. During internal and external evaluations, game loading speeds remained consistently fast. Interface responsiveness was smooth across all major device categories, and the overall storage footprint of the app stayed remarkably light.

The platform’s user interface was constructed with a focus on clarity and comfort. Instead of overwhelming users with excessive visuals, PlayLah adopts a modern, minimalist style. Screens are clean, layout spacing is carefully balanced, and navigation flows naturally. This calm and structured presentation ensures that users never feel lost or pressured while browsing the game list.

Such design choices create an atmosphere of relaxation, which aligns perfectly with the platform’s goal. PlayLah is built not only to entertain but also to serve as a refreshing digital environment where players can unwind without distractions.

A Social Platform at Its Core

Even though the games on PlayLah are small in size, the platform itself offers a deep layer of social interactions. PlayLah was developed with the belief that entertainment becomes more meaningful when shared with others. Players can build profiles that reflect their personality through avatars, game collections, and progress markers. They can add friends, track one another’s achievements, and exchange friendly challenges.

Leaderboards and rankings allow players to measure themselves against others, both globally and regionally. These rankings are positioned as light-hearted challenges rather than competitive pressure. The intent is to encourage interaction, not to create stress. Achievements, milestones, and performance records further enhance the sense of progression without forcing players into long-term obligations.

Through these features, PlayLah transforms quick entertainment moments into an engaging community experience. It becomes a platform where interaction and fun coexist, making gameplay more rewarding and socially vibrant.

Fair and Transparent Monetization

Monetization in mobile games is often a concern for players. Many apps rely on intrusive methods, aggressive pop-ups, or essential features locked behind payment. PlayLah takes a very different approach. Its monetization system is transparent, optional, and oriented toward enhancements rather than necessities.

Players may purchase decorative items such as avatars and skins, as well as in-app currencies used to unlock aesthetic customization. Seasonal bundles provide additional value during special events. Optional ads are available for users who want extra rewards without spending money. A subscription model is under development to provide consistent value for highly active players.

PlayLah ensures that all core content remains free. No essential gameplay mechanics, game modes, or features are restricted by payment. This philosophy prioritizes trust and long-lasting player satisfaction, which is crucial for a platform designed for an international audience.

A Product Built for Global Expansion

Casual gaming has a universal appeal that transcends age, culture, and geography. With its accessible design and broad content variety, PlayLah is positioned to enter markets ranging from Southeast Asia and the Middle East to Europe, North America, and Latin America.

The app’s lightweight architecture allows it to run on a wide range of devices. It requires minimal storage, loads quickly even in areas with slower network speeds, and does not drain power heavily. These qualities make it particularly ideal for emerging markets where device specifications vary widely.

PlayLah’s user interface is also built with future localization in mind. Multi-language support will enable the platform to adapt quickly to the cultural and linguistic needs of various regions. This flexibility contributes to PlayLah’s global growth potential.

The Vision Behind the Platform

PlayLah represents the ambitions of Volcano Entertainment Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company dedicated to social entertainment and mobile gaming. The company’s vision extends beyond creating a single app. It seeks to build a portfolio of entertainment products that connect people, cultures, and communities through accessible digital experiences.

With PlayLah, the company aims to introduce a product that offers creativity, enjoyment, and cross-cultural appeal. The platform’s launch is an important milestone, showcasing the team’s commitment to delivering high-quality entertainment.

Continuous Innovation and Long-Term Roadmap

The launch version of PlayLah is only the foundation. The development team has already outlined a roadmap filled with new features and improvements. Upcoming updates include real-time multiplayer games, social rooms where players can interact while playing, enhanced community tools, and new daily engagement systems. Seasonal events and themed challenges will further enrich the platform’s content, offering fresh experiences throughout the year.

Localization updates will gradually introduce multiple languages to support the platform’s global rollout. In the long term, the team is exploring tools that allow independent developers to contribute their own mini-games to the PlayLah ecosystem. This expansion has the potential to transform the platform into a dynamic creator-driven community.

Why PlayLah Stands Out

The mobile entertainment landscape is crowded, yet PlayLah stands out because of its clarity of purpose. It does not attempt to be a large, complex gaming universe. Instead, it focuses on what many players genuinely want: quick relief, simple joy, and accessible fun. In a world full of digital intensity and information overload, PlayLah acts as a refreshing contrast.

It serves students needing a quick break, professionals seeking a moment of relaxation, parents wanting light entertainment, and social groups who enjoy friendly challenges. Its strength lies in being simple without being shallow, social without being demanding, and entertaining without being overwhelming.

Conclusion

PlayLah’s official launch signals the beginning of a new chapter in casual mobile entertainment. By focusing on fast gameplay, friendly design, approachable mechanics, and social connectivity, the platform offers a refreshing and meaningful experience for players around the world.

As the platform continues to grow, evolve, and expand internationally, its core mission remains constant. PlayLah will continue delivering instant, joyful entertainment to anyone, anytime, wherever they are.

Special Autumn Event: “Anime Tokyo Station Autumn Festival”

Event Video to be Available on YouTube for a Limited Time
From Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 30

Report on the public recording of a chat and dramatic reading by popular voice actors Miina TominagaKaori Nazuka, and Tomohiro Yamaguchi

TOKYO, Nov 20, 2025 – (JCN Newswire) – Anime Tokyo Station, an exhibition center for Japanese anime operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Association of Japanese Animations, has welcomed many visitors from Japan and overseas as a facility that promotes the appeal of Japanese anime to the world under the motto, “Making ANIME more interesting, Bringing ANIME far into the future.”

On Tuesday, November 4, the official Anime Tokyo Station YouTube channel hosted the public recording event “Anime Tokyo Station Autumn Festival.” Approximately 50 visitors selected by lottery attended and enjoyed the event.

At the event, voice actor Miina Tominaga served as the host, with guests Kaori Nazuka and Tomohiro Yamaguchi making an appearance. To commemorate the second anniversary of Anime Tokyo Station, Miina Tominaga and Kaori Nazuka were dressed in kimono, while Tomohiro Yamaguchi appeared in a white tuxedo—reportedly his first time wearing one in his life.

The next chat featured a discussion of “Favorite Anime” in connection with Anime Tokyo Station. The topic was “The Anime That Inspired You to Pursue Voice Acting.” Kaori Nazuka answered with “Ojarumaru,” which was both her debut work and favorite anime since childhood. “When I was in my first year of middle school, I appeared in a musical. Back then, I had the opportunity to perform alongside Ayaka Saito (who was appearing in “Ojarumaru” at the time). The director of “Ojarumaru,” Akitaro Daichi, came to see that stage performance and scouted me as a voice actor. When I made my debut, I was shocked by how bad I was (laughs),” she commented. Tomohiro Yamaguchi answered with “Utawarerumono,” “My Bride is a Mermaid,” “Mobile Suit Gundam,” and “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.” He said that when he watched late-night anime again as an adult, he was “shocked by how fascinating it was.” He became obsessed with “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,” which featured Kaori Nazuka, and would even leave his part-time job early to watch it. “It’s no exaggeration to say I’m doing this job now thanks to Miina and Kaori,” he said, and the venue erupted in laughter.

Following the chat, legendary voice actor Masako Nozawa sent a congratulatory message celebrating Anime Tokyo Station’s second anniversary. Miina Tominaga shared her thoughts: “Receiving Masako Nozawa’s words of praise, encouragement, and support energizes us every single year! We always receive so much power from her.”

During the press photo session, a surprise appearance by Maruko from “CHIBI MARUKO-CHAN” drew voices of excitement from the audience as she struck numerous poses for the cameras, hyping up the venue.

During the latter half of the event, Miina Tominaga, Kaori Nazuka, and Tomohiro Yamaguchi delivered a live performance of “Kumo no Kiremani (A Break in the Clouds),” the third installment in the “Arashi No Yoru Ni (One Stormy Night)” series of dramatic readings that also drew attention at the Anime Tokyo Station Tanabata Festival. Accompanied by live percussion, original background music, and sound effects, their performance was packed with realism. The audience gathered at the venue listened quietly to this rare dramatic reading, and a huge round of applause erupted after it ended.

Following the dramatic reading, Yuichi Kimura, author of the “Arashi No Yoru Ni (One Stormy Night)” series, appeared for a chat. He shared his thoughts: “It was wonderful. Out of all seven volumes, this one is the most understated. Yet your performance was incredibly interesting and funny. I was able to see my work in a new light.” The three performers, who had been nervous about performing in front the author, responded, “We were nervous about doing this in front of you, so thank you very much.”

Footage of this event will be made available on the official Anime Tokyo Station YouTube channel for a limited time from Saturday November 15 to Sunday, November 30. Furthermore, the three dramatic readings—including those performed at previous events—of the first three volumes of “Arashi No Yoru Ni (One Stormy Night)” will be screened at the “Anime Watch Party: Extra Special Edition” on Friday, November 21.

Please take this opportunity to enjoy Anime Tokyo Station content, either at the facility or on YouTube.

CM Energy’s Green Methanol Breaks Into EU Market With ISCC EU Certification

HONG KONG, Nov 19, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) – As part of the World Maritime Merchants Forum 2025, the Intelligent Ship Building Thematic Forum, hosted by China Merchants Industry Group(CMI) and organized by CM Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (00206.HK, CM Energy), commenced in Hong Kong on November 18. During the event, CM Energy officially launched its green methanol project and obtained the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC EU) on the same day. This milestone marks the official entry of CM Energy’s green methanol into the EU market, laying a solid foundation for its global expansion.

CM Energy’s green methanol achieves a more than 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emission intensity compared to conventional fossil-based methanol. The project’s first phase boasts an annual production capacity of 20,000 to 30,000 tons—enough to power two 24,000 TEU container ships for a full year—with deliveries scheduled to begin in December 2025. Following technological upgrades, annual output is expected to reach 60,000 tons.

As the global shipping industry’s transition toward low-carbon and net-zero emissions becomes a universal consensus, green methanol has emerged as a core option for shipping decarbonization. A representative in charge of CM Energy stated that the company has partnered with Shandong Energy Group to build a green methanol plant in Jining, Shandong. By retrofitting existing coal-to-methanol infrastructure and adopting a co-processing route that incorporates biomass, the project not only preserves existing production capacity but also significantly enhances GHG reduction performance—offering a viable solution to the high-cost transition challenge faced by traditional chemical plants.

Currently, all links of the project, including raw material collection, biochar production, and green methanol synthesis, have successfully passed the rigorous ISCC certification, making it the world’s first green methanol project to obtain full-process certification in accordance with ISCC Co-processing Version 2.0 Guidance. The certification not only opens up global market channels for domestic green methanol but also provides a replicable path for low-carbon transition of traditional chemical enterprises worldwide through an asset-light, high-compliance co-processing model.

Wu Sichuan, Chairman of China Merchants Industry Group,  highlighted that green technology is one of the three strategic emerging sectors under the Group’s “Third Pioneering Endeavor” initiative. China Merchants Industry will serve as both a “manufacturing scenario implementation and equipment innovation platform,” while CM Energy will take the lead in green energy equipment and supply. China Merchants Industry is committed to becoming a cost-leading, green technology-driven manufacturing enterprise driven by technological innovation, led by digital transformation, and based on lean management, contributing to the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry and supporting the accelerated construction of a transportation power and a maritime power.

Also during the event, Bureau Veritas, an internationally recognized certification body, awarded the ISCC EU certification certificate for green methanol to CM Energy. The certification ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Zheng Nanfeng, Professor of Xiamen University and Director of Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory; Alexander Döll, CEO of the Global Methanol Fuel Association; Nicolas Brown, Corporate Affairs Director of Bureau Veritas; Mei Xianzhi, General Manager of CMI; Li Hongyuan, Deputy General Manager of the Strategic Development Department (Science and Technology Innovation Department) of China Merchants Group; Mei Zhonghua, Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Industry and Chairman of CM Energy; and Zhang Zhen, Independent Director of CM Energy.

As an important platform for China Merchants Group’s green technology development, CM Energy is stepping up its layout in the green energy value chain—with a focus on hydrogen, methanol, and ammonia—in both equipment manufacturing and energy supply services. The company strives to become a leading integrated service provider for marine green energy and equipment in China. Moving forward, CM Energy will continue to collaborate with partners to expand green methanol production capacity, promote the development of a complete green methanol industrial chain —from feedstock to bunkering—advancing the widespread adoption of green methanol in the global market.
