QMC Receives Work Permit for Irgon Lithium Mine Project

QMC Quantum Minerals Corp., (TSXV: QMC) (FSE: 3LQ) (OTC Pink: QMCQF) (“QMC” or “the Company”) has received a work permit from the Government of Manitoba for the Company’s Irgon Lithium Mine Property. The Irgon Lithium Mine has a historical resource estimate of 1.2 million tons grading 1.51% Li2O over a strike length of 365 metres, to a depth of 213 metres. Currently, on surface, the strike length has been extended to approximately 800 metres and remains open along strike and to depth. A complete mining plant and 40-man camp were installed on site during 1956/57. The adjacent Highway 314, which transects the property, was specifically built for access to the historic Irgon mining operation. The mining plant was designed to process 500 tons of ore per day. The project has excellent infrastructure, being close to grid power, highway access to a processing facility 20km to the south and a major central railway system located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The initial focus of the proposed work program will be to carry out a field mapping and sampling program in order to extend the Irgon Dike beyond the known 800m strike length. The Company will then execute a channel sampling program across newly exposed mineralized outcrop sections of the Irgon Dike.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

– Historic Resource: Between 1953 and 1954, the Lithium Corporation of Canada Limited (“LCOC”) reported a historical resource estimate on the Irgon Dike of 1.2 million tons grading 1.51% Li20 over a strike length of 365 metres and to a depth of 213 metres. This historical resource is documented in a 1956 Assessment Report by B. B. Bannatyne for LCOC (Manitoba Assessment Report No. 94932). This historical resource estimate is believed to be based on reasonable assumptions and both the Company and QP has no reason to contest the document’s relevance and reliability.

– Existing Underground Development: During 1956/1957 a complete mining plant was installed, and since removed, on site designed to process 500 tons of ore per day and a three-compartment shaft was sunk to a depth of 74 metres. On the 61-metre level, lateral development was extended off the shaft for a total of 366 metres of drifting from which six crosscuts transected the dike.

– Excellent Historic Recoveries: Historic metallurgical tests reported an 87% recovery from which a concentrate averaging 5.9% Li2O was obtained.

– Excellent Local Infrastructure: The Irgon Property is transected by Manitoba Highway 314 with access to hydro, water, nearby rail head and is located only 20 kilometres north of the Sinomine Rare Metal Resources Group’s TANCO Mine which is currently mining spodumene and producing a lithium concentrate on site.

– Pending NI 43-101 Report: A NI 43-101 technical report is nearing completion which will update the historical lithium resource to current NI 43-101 standards.

The mineral reserve cited above is presented as a historical estimate and uses historical terminology which does not conform to current NI43-101 standards. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources or mineral reserves. Although the historical estimates are believed to be based on reasonable assumptions, they were calculated prior to the implementation of National Instrument 43-101. These historical estimates do not meet current standards as defined under sections 1.2 and 1.3 of NI 43-101; consequently, the issuer is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resources or mineral reserves.

Gary Schellenberg, CEO of Origen, noted: “Origen now has a Tier 1 team to execute on its Los Sapitos Lithium Project in Argentina. As noted in our January 19 news, the Company is focusing all its exploration efforts on lithium, given forecasts of a massive shortage of lithium by 2030. I am pleased that our new Advisory Board members share my belief in the significant potential of Los Sapitos. The Advisory Board will be of immediate assistance to Dr. Thomas Hawkins, recently announced as Origen’s Managing Director, and our technical teams of Coast Mountain Geological, Petra Gold Servicios SRL and Servicios Logisticos SRL.”

Gary continued: “This advisory board will also add incredible value to Origen’s on-going global search for lithium brine, clay and pegmatite opportunities in addition to Los Sapitos and our Newfoundland pegmatite belt. Our combined team has been investigating lithium for the last 13 years, including the Mariana Lithium Brine Project now operated by Ganfeng Lithium. I look forward to accelerating our progress with these distinguished advisors.”

Los Sapitos Project Status
Origen’s Los Sapitos Lithium Project is located in the northern part of the San Juan Province in Argentina. Discovered by Origen during a global search for lithium occurrences, the most prospective part of Los Sapitos consists of 26,962 hectares of contiguous exploration licences in San Juan Province, covering a Clayton Valley-style lithium occurrence. Clayton Valley brines are contained at depth in dipping aquifers controlled by faults and which have never formed a conspicuously visible salt lake like their Andean cousins. Notably, Abermarle’s Silver Peak deposit only covers 2,000 hectares. Preliminary water sampling in Los Sapitos indicated lithium levels similar to some established lithium salars – as high as 390 mg/l (see news release dated October 13, 2021). This indicates that the inflow water and conditions of Los Sapitos are capable of developing lithium brines of potential interest. Ulexite (a boron evaporite mineral) has also been identified at Los Sapitos and indicates that concentrated boron-bearing brines have been present – an important indicator for lithium prospectivity. In 2023, Origen is planning gravity surveys, multiple geochemical programmes and airborne/satellite work, in order to identify drill targets for testing in Q4 of this year.

Financing
Origen is pleased to announce that that it has arranged for a non-brokered private placement (the “Private Placement”) of up to 8 million units of securities of the Company (“Units”) at a purchase price of $0.25 per Unit for aggregate gross proceeds of $2,000,000. Each Unit will be comprised of one common share in the capital of the Company (a “Common Share”) and one-half Common Share purchase Warrant. Each whole warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one additional Common Share (a “Warrant Share”) at an exercise price of $0.40 at any time up to 18 months following issuance.

Proceeds will be used for the next phase of detailed exploration at the Company’s Los Sapitos Lithium Project, and for general working capital. Insiders will likely participate in the placement and, as such, their participation in the Private Placement is a related-party transaction under Multilateral Instrument 61-101 Protection of Minority Security Holders in Special Transactions.

John Harrop, P. Geo., a Qualified Person as that term is defined in NI 43-101, has supervised the preparation, or approved the scientific and technical disclosure in the news release. Mr. Harrop is employed by Coast Mountain Geological Ltd. He is not independent of the Company as defined in NI 43-101.

Doubleview Achieves Initial 56% Scandium Recovery in First Metallurgical Test of Hat Deposit Flotation Tailings – Potentially the First Major Source of Scandium in N. America

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (FSE: 1D4) (“Doubleview”) is pleased to announce that its first attempt at recovering scandium in a sequential purification process has recovered 56% (fifty six percent) of scandium in tailings from its Hat Copper, Gold, Cobalt property. Scandium was recovered as a phosphate precipitate by treating flotation tailings extraction solution from metallurgical test work on Hat mineralization. The Hat property is located in the Golden Triangle region of Atlin Mining District, Northern British Columbia.

Scandium phosphate is a high value product that currently trades for approximately $35 per 1 gram lot, in comparison to gold which currently trades at approximately $60 per gram.

Earlier scandium extraction test work aimed at the recovery of scandium from Hat deposit flotation tailings demonstrated that it was possible to extract 90% of scandium to solution by employing a sulphate leach at elevated temperatures.

Test work has now moved into the scandium recovery-optimization phase, with sequential purification for the removal of iron and aluminium followed by precipitation of scandium as a phosphate product. Although 56% (fifty six percent) of scandium was recovered to a phosphate precipitate at the first attempt, test work to improve recovery and purity is continuing, including sequential purification, precipitate washing, phosphate purity, and recovery.

President and CEO Farshad Shirvani stated, “The discovery of a deposit with potential deliverables of scandium, cobalt, copper, and gold by Doubleview is a significant achievement for the company, its shareholders, and North America as a whole. Of particular significance is the potential for scandium, as the USA imports 100% of its scandium consumption. This landmark discovery has the potential to expand the use of scandium in a variety of applications, one of which is its ability to enhance the energy capacity, stability, and safety of nickel-metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries commonly used in electric vehicles and consumer electronics.”

Mr. Shirvani further stated, “The integration of Scandium into aluminum alloys can lead to a stronger and lighter material than steel, which is essential for the automobile and aerospace industries. As the demand for energy-efficient vehicles continues to grow, the use of scandium aluminium alloy, with high percentages of scandium, provides a solution to the challenge of heavy energy consumption and limited infrastructure capacity. The shift towards ever lighter materials will require adoption by global industry of new techniques and materials.”

Mr. Shirvani concluded by highlighting, “The discovery of this deposit has the potential to revolutionize various industries and provides a new opportunity for the use of scandium. This discovery has the potential to create a significant impact on the industry.”

Further metallurgical testing for Scandium phosphate optimization and purification continues and updates will be provided as they become available.

Palladium One Expands West Pickle High-Grade Nickel Zone to 600 Meters, Tyko Nickel – Copper Project, Canada

Palladium One Mining Inc. (TSXV: PDM) (OTCQB: NKORF) (FSE: 7N11) (the “Company” or “Palladium One“) is pleased to report the expansion of and additional high-grade drillhole intercepts from the West Pickle Zone massive sulphide discovery on the Tyko Nickel – Copper Project, in Ontario, Canada.

President and CEO, Derrick Weyrauch commented, “This latest batch of drill results reinforces the high-grade nature of the West Pickle Zone. Visual results from hole TK22-117, the most easterly hole drilled to date on the West Pickle Zone, intersected massive nickel – copper sulphides (Figure 1 and 4) which has extended the zone to over 600 meters in length, and it remains open for further expansion both to the east and west.

“The anomalous nickel values over significant widths in hole TK22-076 is significant as they represent the first assays from the many interpreted Feeder Dyke / Chonolith structure on the 30,000-hectare Tyko Project. This mineralization style reinforces our interpretation that these structures potentially host additional nickel – copper discoveries.

“The 2023 exploration program is focused on ground truthing and drill testing these structures, with the intent of discovering additional wide zones of mineralization, such as the RJ Zone which retuned 85.4 meters of 0.5% Ni and 0.2% Cu (Hole TK16-002).

“The 2022 drill program consisted of 70 holes totaling 13,038 meters, of which 45 holes are pending assay results. The 2023 field season is currently underway, with a high-resolution magnetic survey having been completed. The survey was designed to refine the geometry of the interpreted feeder dykes / chonoliths across the Tyko project’s 30-kilometer strike length prior to additional drill testing.”

To date a total of 32 holes, totalling 6,766 meters have been drilled in the vicinity of the West Pickle Discovery. At present, West Pickle mineralization has been defined over more than 600 meters of strike length (Figure 3 and 4).

Drilling at Congress Gold Mine Project Returns as high as 14.9 g/t Gold over 1.5m

Casa Minerals Inc. (TSX: CASA) (OTC Pink: CASXF) (FSE: 0CM) (the “Company” or “Casa”) is pleased to announce the assay results of the initial exploration at its Congress Gold Mine Project in Yavapai county, Arizona, USA. Casa’s work included compilation of historic data and drilling of ten holes with total length 6,828ft HQ Diameter. Results of the field program exceeded expectations, with all the drill holes intersecting the Niagara and Congress Veins extensions on the property and yielded several noteworthy gold intercepts and long intervals of strong gold enrichment.

Figure 1: Congress Gold Mine Project compilation map
Figure 2: Congress Gold Mine Project – Section 2 – 2′
Figure 3: Congress Gold Mine Project – Section 5 – 5′

The highest gold intercepted in phase one, 2022 drilling campaign:
– CCG-004 14.9 g/t over 1.5 meters, as part of a larger intercept of 3.5 g/t over 10.7 meters
– CCG-004 9.3 g/t over 3 meters.

Three distinct areas of gold potential have been identified, two of which were revealed by previous drilling and one is newly discovered, and named for convenience, Congress z1, z2 and z3, respectively. These results demonstrate significant exploration potential of the property.

The following map illustrates the identified and confirmed Congress z1, z2 and z3:

Casa’s diamond drilling program tested possible extensions of the formerly-productive Congress and Niagara vein structures and nearby areas. Cores were examined, recorded and sampled with the supervision of personnel from MineMappers, LLC, of Marana, Arizona and Mark Osterberg, ((PhD., P.G., Wisconsin), R.G. (Arizona), RMSME, a qualified registered consulting geologist in the state of Arizona.

Prior to sampling, cores were recorded, photographed and logged for rock types and structures, then halved by sawing: one half was submitted to an independent, ISO 9000 registered commercial analytical laboratory, with initial processing at the lab’s Tucson, Arizona, facility and final analysis in Vancouver, Canada. The remaining half-core was retained in a secure storage facility on the property where it is available for further examination. Core handling procedures followed industry-standard QA/QC methods to ensure integrity of analytical data.

Selected gold intercepts are depicted in Table 1:

Casa’s extensive database of Congress property information is from several sources, including public archives, records of previous operations and Dubois family records. Table 2 is a compilation of some of the significant gold intersections from those records. Data in this news release from earlier sources has not been reviewed or verified by a Qualified Person and should not be relied upon in any evaluation of the Congress Mine.

Selected historic gold intercepts are tabulated in Table 2:

The Congress gold mine operated at intervals from 1887 to 1992, with reported production of about 400,000 to 500,000 ounces gold by previous operators included Echo Bay Mines Ltd. and Malartic Hygrade. Casa Minerals Inc. owns ninety percent (90%) interest in the Congress gold mine from 40 feet depth and beyond, subject to a 1.5% Net Smelter Royalty (Arizona, USA). The property comprises 14 patented mining claims with area 260 acres and undivided one hundred percent of the 494.8 acres that Casa acquired by staking. In a small part of the property, Surface rights to depth 40 feet (9 m) in part of the property are held by a third party. Gold mineralization occurs with vein quartz and in areas of strong siliceous alteration in granite.

Austral Gold Announces Drill Results at Casposo-Manantiales

Austral Gold Limited (ASX: AGD) (TSXV: AGLD) (“Austral”) is pleased to announce the results from its recent drilling campaign (“drilling program”) at the Casposo-Manantiales Project located in the province of San Juan, Argentina. The Company drilled 4,265 metres of diamond drilling (“DD”) in 15 DD holes.

Table 1: Manantiales and Cerro Amarillo Drill hole Results

The focus of the drilling program was to follow up on the results achieved in previous drilling campaigns at the Manantiales vein disclosed in the 27 July 2022 and 26 October 2021 announcements. The follow-up drilling program at the Manantiales vein intercepted high gold grades at the top and bottom of the central ore-shoot, indicating possible continuity at depth. The best two holes intercepted high-grade gold confirming the continuity of mineralisation in the central ore-shoot and opening the upside at depth. During 2022, 6,585 metres were drilled in 27 DD holes and total exploration costs were US$2.8 million.

At Cerro Amarillo, which is close to the Manantiales vein (see map below), two holes were drilled; one in Awada (152 metres), and the other in La Puerta (326 metres) to test for new structural and ore controls. Favourable alteration was intercepted with discrete gold anomalies.

The AWD-22-003 hole located in the western sector of Awada recognised strong silicification in approximately 50 metres, although with low gold anomalies. At La Puerta, the objective of drill hole LPO-22-004 was to intercept the veins in more favourable host rock, however the structures were intercepted in Oveja Negra Fm without significant gold values.

Austral Gold’s Chief Executive Officer, Stabro Kasaneva said: “We are pleased to complete the 2022 drilling program of approximately 7,000 metres over two phases at the Casposo-Manantiales project. The outcome of the program was positive with some encouraging assays reported, and we look forward to the design of our next drilling campaign considering our objective to restart mining operations at the Casposo-Manantiales project.”
