The event featured a series of compelling activities including industry seminars, design competition, and eyewear parades, all of which play pivotal roles in fostering collaboration and networking within the industry.”

Smart technology and sustainability emerge as new industry drivers
The fair, themed “Bright Eyes • New Horizons”, showcased contemporary products that align with key market trends — “smart technology”, “sustainability”, “silver healthcare” and “functionality & design” — highlighting the industry’s achievements in technological innovation and sustainable development. Exhibitors introduced various products that blend functionality and aesthetics by integrating elements such as artificial intelligence and eco-friendly materials, catering to diverse market needs and further enhancing the industry’s competitiveness in the international market.

The spotlighted “Brand Name Gallery” showcased over 200 renowned brands from around the world, including BIG HORN and P+US from Hong Kong, MINIMA from France, STEPPER from Germany, United Colors of Benetton from Italy, Masunaga since 1905 and MATSUDA from Japan, Nano Vista from Spain, Ted Baker from the United Kingdom, together with new participating brands such as SUEEY.MASADA from Chinese Mainland, JULBO and SABINE BE from France, SASAKI and PTOLEMY48 from Japan, NIMOME from Korea, Collections Marcus Marienfeld from Switzerland, THRASHER from the US, showcasing distinctive designs.

He said they have connected with 20 buyers from Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa, and the Chinese Mainland, including a potential order of US$1 million from an Israeli agent with 260 retail points.

The Optical Fair attracted buyers from around the world, including prominent international buyers such as the Mondottica Group representative for Australia, Brazil’s VISTA IMPORT, leading European industry players like the Asia-Pacific representative of France’s Kering Eyewear, Germany’s Fielmann Group, and the Asia representative of UK’s Specsavers, India’s eyewear giant Lenskart, Indonesia’s Grand Optik, Singapore’s Capitol Optical, and the United States’ Euro Vision International.

Joint Administrator Antonia Rivas said: “We have attended the Optical Fair every year for the past twenty years to source optical cases and lenses. This year, we connected with 20 potential suppliers at the fair. Our overall sourcing budget for suppliers we met at the fair will be around EUR2 million annually.”

Eyewear Design Competition showcases new design talents
The HKTDC and the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association co-organised “The 25th Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition”, to promote the diversification and internationalisation of local eyewear designs. The competition aimed to identify promising and emerging design talents and promote innovative design and technology within the local eyewear industry. Themed “Blending Tradition and Technology”, the competition featured an Open Group as well as a Student Group. The award ceremony was held on the first day of the fair, with winning and shortlisted entries displayed throughout the event. The Open Group champion, “Be With You,” designed by Fung Wai-kuen, automatically alerts family members via bluetooth-connected smartphones when the wearer falls or presses the emergency button, significantly reducing accident risks for the elderly. This design also won the “Made-to-Sell Award”. In the Student Group, Shum Chui-shan’s “Unique Perspectives” won first place. The design incorporates the auspicious butterfly symbol from traditional Chinese culture, utilising tie-dye techniques and a detachable structure which enhances the design’s three-dimensional effect and functionality.

The fair continues to adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model which seamlessly integrates online and offline elements to extend business opportunities. Exhibitors and buyers can connect and arrange meetings through the Click2Match online smart business-matching platform until 14 November. During the physical event, buyers can also use the Scan2Match function on the HKTDC Marketplace App to scan exhibitors’ QR codes to bookmark favourite suppliers, access product details and interactive floor plans, and make product enquiries — enabling engagement with exhibitors before and after the fair to continue their sourcing journey.

CNGR Launches IPO: Global pCAM Leader Secures Position in the Golden Arena of New Energy

On 7 November, CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd. (CNGR or the Company HKG: 2579), a globally renowned enterprise in new energy materials, officially launched its IPO. The offering is currently underway. If progress proceeds smoothly, the Company will become the second new energy materials enterprise in China to achieve dual listing on the A-share and H-share markets following CATL, highlighting its prominent industry position.

During intraday trading on 7 November, the stock price of CNGR (300919.SZ) surged rapidly, attracting significant investor attention. At the time of publication, the stock price had risen over 5%, reflecting robust market participation.

Achieving Several Breakthroughs with Profound R&D and Innovation Capabilities
As a key player in the global new energy materials sector, CNGR has built a comprehensive and diversified product matrix through its vertically integrated business model. Core products encompass nickel-based, cobalt-based, phosphorus-based, sodium-based and other innovative new energy battery materials, along with new energy metal products, fully meeting the diverse needs of downstream industries.

CNGR has always regarded technical R&D as the core driving force of its development. Through years of accumulation, the Company has accumulated extensive technological expertise and industry experience, and established an integrated R&D platform that spans the entire production process and product life cycle from “mineral metallurgy to new energy materials research and mass-production process development, to manufacturing equipment design and optimization, product testing and assessment, and to recycling”, ensuring product quality consistently meets customers’ high standards while effectively controlling costs in the operations, so as to achieve the dual competitive advantages of “high quality” and “high cost-effectiveness”.

Leveraging strong R&D capabilities, CNGR has achieved several industry breakthroughs: pioneered the industry-first ultra-high-nickel pCAM with energy density reaching 230 mAh/g, surpassing traditional ternary batteries by 27.8% to 12.7%, respectively; launched the industry-first 4.55V high voltage cobalt-based pCAM, significantly boosting charging efficiency for LCO batteries in consumer electronics; developed the industry-first low-cost NFPP pCAM for sodium-ion batteries, which serves as a premium alternative to lithium-ion batteries and has been in mass production since 2024, opening a new growth trajectory for the Company.

CNGR’s three industry-first R&D achievements precisely align with the performance upgrade demands of the lithium battery industry while proactively positioning the Company in the sodium-ion battery alternative track. These breakthroughs have not only secured stable core clients and sustained revenue growth but also solidified the Company’s technological influence and industry standing in the global new energy materials sector. With increased R&D investment following its dual A+H share listing, the Company is poised to achieve breakthroughs across multiple frontier sectors, continuously driving industry-wide technological evolution, and unlocking vast market opportunities and growth potential for the Company.

Maintaining Rapid Growth in Performance with Steady Profitability Quality Enhancement
Driven by industry growth momentum and intrinsic competitive advantages, CNGR has achieved rapid performance growth. In terms of revenue, from 2022 to 2024, the Company’s revenue increased from RMB30.344 billion to RMB40.223 billion, achieving a CAGR of 15.13% and maintaining a steady growth trend; in the first half of 2025, the revenue reached RMB21.323 billion, nearly 70% of the full-year 2022 revenue, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.42% as compared to RMB18.967 billion in the first half of 2024, demonstrating a steady acceleration in growth momentum and highlighting the continuity and explosive potential of business expansion. This growth is not a short-term pulse but sustainable expansion driven by capacity release, customer acquisition and industry demand, exhibiting strong certainty.

In terms of profitability, the Company’s net profits for 2022-2024 and the first half of 2025 amounted to RMB1.539 billion, RMB2.101 billion, RMB1.788 billion, and RMB0.706 billion respectively, maintaining a relatively high profitability level within the industry. Notably, the net profit recorded a decline in 2024 as compared to 2023, which was primarily due to temporary price competition in the industry and short-term fluctuations in raw material prices, but still exceeded that in 2022, demonstrating strong counter-cyclical resilience.

Euro Manganese Advances Optimization Program to Strengthen Economics and Align with Global Battery Market Demand

Euro Manganese Inc. (TSXV: EMN) (ASX: EMN) (FSE: E060) (the “Company” or “Euro Manganese“) is pleased to provide an update as it continues to advance its Chvaletice Manganese Project (“Chvaletice“) in the Czech Republic toward commercialization. The update reflects ongoing efforts to align project execution and development priorities with evolving market conditions and learnings from the operation of the Demonstration Plant.

President & CEO, Martina Blahova, commented:

“With our Demonstration Plant having validated the Chvaletice process and product quality, our focus has shifted to translating these learnings into commercial-scale efficiencies. Our focus on recovery and costs aims to achieve meaningful improvements in unit operating costs and capital intensities. We see sustained demand for high-purity manganese across both lithium-ion and sodium-ion chemistries, and Euro Manganese is working to respond to this critical need.”

Global Market Outlook and Company Strategy

Global demand for high-purity manganese continues to strengthen as electric-vehicle (“EV“) and energy storage markets expand and diversify. Manganese-rich cathode chemistries are gaining traction for both lithium-ion and emerging sodium-ion batteries due to their cost, performance and safety advantages. Independent forecasts anticipate significant supply shortfalls post-2027, underscoring the need for secure, low-carbon sources outside of China.1

Euro Manganese’s strategy – to establish a fully traceable European supply of high-purity manganese feedstocks remains well-founded. The Company’s Chvaletice Project offers a unique combination of proven technology, circular production from recycled tailings, and alignment with Europe’s strategic autonomy and energy-transition goals, working towards supplying the EV, energy-storage, defence, and speciality-alloy sectors.

Validation of Metal-Route Optionality

A report prepared by Andrew Zemek at Marketeye, (September 2025)2 and paid for by Euro Manganese confirms that Euro Manganese’s metal-route process is the most flexible way of future-proofing the output of the Chvaletice Commercial Plant in the context of changing demand for the manganese feedstock mix for high-manganese batteries. The process provides strategic optionality to produce high-purity electrolytic manganese metal (“HPEMM“) and/or high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (“HPMSM“). This dual-route capability positions the Company to respond dynamically to future shifts in cathode chemistries and customer requirements. HPMSM remains the dominant feedstock for cathode chemistries, however new materials such as manganese oxide (Mn₃O₄) and manganese carbonate (MnCO₃) have emerged. These alternative manganese feedstocks can be produced from HPEMM.

EMN’s Chairman, Rick Anthon, commented:

“Euro Manganese’s strategic advantage lies in its combination of strong project fundamentals, proven flowsheet, and alignment with Europe’s decarbonisation and economic security goals. The optimization program aims to ensure we maintain our competitive edge and build on our first mover advantage in Europe with a goal of reducing costs and maximising value for shareholders, while delivering a sustainable source of high-purity manganese for the battery market and other strategic sectors.”

Optimization and Efficiency Program

Following the successful operation of its Demonstration Plant, Euro Manganese has initiated an optimization program to incorporate operational learnings into design of the Commercial Plant. Key workstreams include exploring:

  • Improved recoveries and metallurgical balancing;
  • Optimized equipment-sizing and layout;
  • Reduced reagent and consumables use; and
  • Enhanced process control.

The Company has engaged external engineering specialists, including a large engineering firm, to conduct independent reviews and recommend efficiency upgrades. This structured, best-practice approach mirrors successful programs across the battery and mining sectors that have delivered lower capital intensity and stronger commercial and sustainability outcomes for other companies.

Next Steps and Outlook

The outcomes of the optimization program will guide Euro Manganese’s next phase of development, including any potential updates to technical studies.

The Company remains confident that its strategic focus on producing high-purity manganese feedstocks, supported by continued engineering discipline and process improvements, positions it to capitalize on the forecasted supply deficit and growing demand for manganese-rich battery materials. The Chvaletice Project’s fundamentals as a fully traceable, low-carbon, European source of high-purity manganese remains robust.

About Euro Manganese

Euro Manganese Inc. (TSXV: EMN) (ASX: EMN) (FSE: E060) is a battery materials company developing the Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic, Europe’s only near-term source of high-purity manganese, a critical ingredient in next-generation electric vehicles, energy storage batteries and defence applications.

The Chvaletice Manganese Project will reprocess historic mine tailings to produce high-purity electrolytic manganese metal (HPEMM), and high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM), establishing a fully traceable, low-carbon supply chain within the European Union.

With its Demonstration Plant having produced on-spec products and optimization work underway to enhance commercial plant efficiency, Euro Manganese is positioned to become Europe’s first domestic producer of high-purity manganese, meeting the rising demand for sustainable, strategic battery materials while advancing Europe’s clean-energy and supply-chain independence goals.

Euro Manganese is dual listed on the TSX-V and the ASX.

HONG KONG, Oct 16, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) – The 45th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and the 28th electronicAsia, organised by the HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd, concluded their physical exhibitions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) today. The four-day concurrent events attracted some 60,000 industry buyers from 142 countries and regions. The number of buyers from Spain, Japan, Brazil and Australia increased on last year, reflecting the status of the fairs as important sourcing platforms for the industry, helping exhibitors expand their international markets and yielding positive business results.

In last month’s Policy Address, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region proposed promoting artificial intelligence (AI) as a core industry for the city’s development. Aligning with this direction, this year’s Autumn Electronics Fair focused on three major areas: AI and Robotics Technology, Digital Entertainment, and the Silver Economy. The fair featured multiple themed zones and professional forums, allowing industry players to showcase innovations and exchange ideas on technology applications, and leveraging Hong Kong’s role as an international business platform to help enterprises seize emerging global opportunities.

Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, said: “Amid the recent unstable global trade environment, the HKTDC has been proactively helping companies with business transformation and injecting momentum into new market exploration. As a stage for showcasing the latest electronic products and innovations, the Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia serve as important platforms for exhibitors to connect and explore collaborations. This year’s fairs welcomed leading Chinese Mainland tech companies from various sectors to present the latest AI and robotics technologies. Using Hong Kong as a springboard to ‘go global’, we have been pleased to see both local and mainland enterprises making successful connections with quality international buyers through the two fairs, further reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a bridge to the global market.”

In late October, the HKTDC will continue to create cross-industry business opportunities by hosting the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo and ECO Expo Asia, Ms Koo added.

Survey reveals 44% of industry insiders are exploring or applying Generative AI

An independent survey agency commissioned by the HKTDC interviewed 1,092 buyers and exhibitors at the Electronics Fair and asked for their views on growth prospects for the industry. 51% of respondents said they expect overall sales to increase in the next 12 to 24 months.

Respondents rated the Middle East (77%), Korea (70%), India (69%) and ASEAN countries (69%) as having very promising or promising growth prospects for products in their target markets in the next two years, while 44% of those surveyed said they have ventured into the exploration or integration of Generative AI technology, with the areas of product design and development (60%), customer service and support (40%) and marketing and advertising (35%) being the most common.

New product launches at Electronics Fair – a starting point for “going global”

This year’s Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia attracted more than 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions around the world. The HKTDC organised 120 buyer delegations from 61 countries and regions to attend the fairs – including renowned global corporations such as Mondial from Brazil, Reichelt Elektronik GmbH from Germany, and Dewalt Mobile Solutions from the United States – highlighting Hong Kong’s strong appeal as an international convention and exhibition hub.

Staying true to its theme, “World’s Leading Electronics Marketplace”, the fair provided a platform for global exhibitors to showcase their latest electronic products, innovation concepts and applications. These included robotics products from leading mainland tech enterprises such as Deep Robotics and BrainCo from “Hangzhou’s Six Little Dragons” in addition to DIGIT, PaXini and LimX from “Shenzhen’s Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence”.

Robotics technologies were demonstrated across various scenarios. For example, exhibitor Ascentiz launched its world’s first modular exoskeleton at the fair that has been designed to enhance mobility for the elderly and people with physical impairments, contributing to the silver economy. The fair also introduced a new RoboPark activity zone, hosting over 30 live robot demonstrations and featuring presentations from renowned robotics companies such as Unitree Robotics and Booster Robotics.

Several local start-ups and technology companies have stated that they successfully showcased their innovative achievements, launched new products, and connected with potential investors and overseas buyers at the fair.

SOTA Robotics, launched and demonstrated its humanoid performing robot CURI Gen2 at RoboPark. Jacky Fan, Robotics Engineer at the startup said: “The newly established RoboPark provided a stage to demonstrate our capabilities to the industry. We successfully established direct contact with potential investors from several countries and regions such as the United Kingdom, Pakistan and the Chinese Mainland.”

Well-known enterprises from the Chinese Mainland used the fairs as a platform to develop global business opportunities. Xiangru Nie, Co-founder of PaXini Technology, one of the “Shenzhen’s Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence” said: “Through the fair we have seen greater possibilities in technological globalisation. We are leveraging Hong Kong’s international network to accelerate the implementation of our technologies in areas such as high-end manufacturing in Europe and the United States, and smart services in Southeast Asia.” He added that through the fair, the company had not only secured procurement intentions with robotics companies from Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore and the Philippines but also attracted significant attention from high-end manufacturing sectors in Europe and the United States, including Germany and the United Kingdom. He said this engagement with dozens of high-quality potential clients had led to the total value of intended orders  expected to exceed tens of millions of renminbi – far ahead of his initial expectations.

Elijah Yu, International Sales Manager of Shanghai Hi-dolphin Robot Technology Co., Ltd, mentioned that the fairs played a crucial role as a springboard for mainland companies to reach overseas customers: “We met a client from Turkey at the fair who placed an
