ONERHT Foundation’s 8th GAIL Forum held on 22 July 2025, Champions Green Leadership Across ASEAN

ONERHT Foundation Ltd (“Foundation”), the corporate social responsibility vehicle of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, “ONERHT”), successfully concluded its 8th edition of Greening ASEAN: Initiatives & Leadership (GAIL) Forum which was held on 22 July 2025 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The forum, themed “Industry, Business, and Regulatory Perspectives on Climate Mitigation and Adaptation,” welcomed over 100 participants, and featured a focused half-day programme of discussions and knowledge exchange.

Ms.Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry graced the event as Guest-of-Honour, delivering a keynote address.

Ms.Kaylee Kwok, Chairman of ONERHT Foundation, said, “At GAIL 2025, we saw a powerful convergence of actionable insights and strategies from business and industry leaders as well as sustainability domain experts. These dialogues reflect the Foundation’s commitment in facilitating meaningful conversations that help shape ASEAN’s sustainable development journey.”

The programme featured a dynamic fireside chat on “The Future of Green Leadership in ASEAN – How Businesses and Professional Services Can Drive Impact,” which explored real-world case studies on leadership models which aimed to drive sustainability agendas in corporate and professional spheres.

A presentation on “Navigating ASEAN’s Green Transition: Legal and Policy Pathways” provided delegates with a comprehensive update on ASEAN’s progress in carbon markets under the Paris Agreement, key developments in ASEAN’s transition and disclosure frameworks, the evolution of corporate responsibility in the context of directors’ duties and climate justice in ASEAN.

The session on “Developing and Investing in Carbon Markets in Asia: Business and Regulatory Perspectives” explored the current state of carbon markets in the region, investment opportunities and financial mechanisms, as well as the evolving legal frameworks, standards, and methodologies shaping carbon trading across Asia.

Since its 2018 launch, the ONERHT Foundation GAIL Forum has grown as a central platform for catalysing sustainable development across ASEAN. ONERHT Foundation Announces 8th edition of GAIL Forum which will focus on Green Leadership in ASEAN

ONERHT Foundation has announced the 8th edition of the Greening ASEAN: Initiatives and Leadership (“GAIL”) Forum, which will take place on Tuesday 22 July 2025 from 1:30 PM at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 3 (Rooms 334 to 336). The upcoming forum will gather business leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts from across the region to examine industry, business, and regulatory perspectives on climate mitigation and adaptation in ASEAN. The forum will be graced by Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, as the Guest-of-Honour, who will deliver the keynote address.

This year’s theme explores Industry, Business, and Regulatory Perspectives on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. Participants can look forward to an engaging half-day programme featuring keynotes and discussions focused on navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by sustainability imperatives, climate regulations, and evolving business models. The forum provides a unique opportunity to understand emerging trends, collaborate across sectors, and build capacity for lasting environmental impact.

ONERHT Foundation Celebrates 9th Charity Golf and Gala Dinner Event, Raising Over S$430,000 to Support 9 Charitable Organisations

ONERHT Foundation Ltd, the corporate social responsibility arm of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (“ONERHT”), successfully raised more than S$430,000 at its 9th charity golf and gala dinner event. The funds will be directed towards the Foundation’s key initiatives, including the Ageing RigHT Project and other community programmes aimed at supporting Singapore’s ageing population and diverse community needs.

The gala dinner, held on 18 October 2024 at Sentosa Golf Club, was honoured by the presence of Guest-of-Honour, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Gan Kim Yong. The event successfully brought together more than 200 participants, including golfers and distinguished guests from various industry sectors.

This year, to mark its 9th edition of the charity golf and gala dinner event, the Foundation has pledged to support a total of 9 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries are PAP Community Foundation Sparkle Care Centres, Life Community Services Society, Singapore Cancer Society, Singapore Road Safety Council, Bethel Community Services, Singapore Christian Home, South Central Community Family Service Centre, Focus on the Family Singapore Limited and Intercultural Theatre Institute. This demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to reach out to a wider range of charities and support more beneficiaries.

Ms Kaylee Kwok, Chairman of ONERHT Foundation, emphasised the importance of the Foundation’s work: “We are profoundly grateful for the generosity of our donors and sponsors, whose unwavering support propels our mission at ONERHT Foundation. Together, we are making significant strides towards fostering positive change within our community. We remain steadfast in our commitment to our core focus areas: education, environmental and sustainability, disadvantaged groups, and the arts and sports.”

The donations made to various charitable organisations will enhance their programmes and services, allowing them to better serve their communities. This commitment to supporting a diverse range of individuals highlights the importance of community-driven initiatives that make a positive impact on the lives of those in need, such as empowering youth, caring for seniors, mentoring families, and providing comprehensive healthcare services, and much more.

ONERHT Foundation’s 7th Edition of Annual GAIL Forum Returns on 25 June 2024 at Suntec Singapore

The 7th edition of the Greening ASEAN: Initiatives and Leadership (“GAIL”) forum is set to take place on 25 June 2024 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Business and Industry leaders, as well as sustainability domain experts, gather to share actionable insights and strategies to drive ASEAN’s Green Future. The forum will be graced by Mr Chee Hong Tat, Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance, as the Guest-of-Honour.

The GAIL forum aims to facilitate the sharing of expertise, experience, and practical strategies for businesses and other stakeholders within ASEAN to respond to the region’s growing call for sustainable development. ONERHT Foundation Charity Golf 2023 raises more than S$400,000 for disadvantaged groups

ONERHT Foundation Ltd (“Foundation”), the corporate social responsibility arm of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, “ONERHT”), successfully raised more than S$400,000 for disadvantaged groups with the support of generous donors and sponsors at the Foundation’s Charity Golf 2023 event.

More than 170 golfers participated in the charity golf event held over two days on 29 September and 6 October at Orchid Country Club and Sentosa Golf Club respectively. The Foundation, a registered charity and grant-making philanthropic organisation, collaborates with charitable organisations to support meaningful programmes that address various community needs in Singapore. ONERHT Foundation appoints AlDigi Holdings CEO to its Board of Directors

ONERHT Foundation Ltd, the corporate social responsibility vehicle of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, “ONERHT”), has appointed Mr. Jayaprakash Jagateesan, Group Chief Executive Officer of the AlDigi Group, as its new Board Director, effective 1 May 2023.

Prakash also holds various positions both within and outside ONERHT and is an active member of the community who contributes to meaningful causes aligned with the Foundation’s core pillars of education, environment and sustainability, disadvantaged groups, as well as arts and sports.

He is the Deputy Chairman and Co-Founder of SDAX Exchange, Director of carbon trading platform AirCabon Exchange, Director of Global Indian International School, Vice Chairman of the Singapore Indian Education Trust (SIET), Member of the Singapore Hockey Federation Disciplinary Sub-Committee and an avid golfer who regularly participates in charity tournaments.

Mr Jayaprakash Jagateesan, Director of ONERHT Foundation Ltd, said, “The Foundation’s flagship events have been a prominent fixture on ONERHT’s calendar for many years and I have witnessed the Foundation’s evolution and growth first-hand. ONERHT Foundation together with Chui Huay Lim Club and Ee Hoe Hean Club raise close to S$500,000 to promote medical care and support for disadvantaged groups

ONERHT Foundation Ltd, the corporate social responsibility vehicle of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, “ONERHT”), together with its co-organisers Chui Huay Lim Club and Ee Hoe Hean Club, has raised close to S$500,000 to promote health and wellness among disadvantaged and vulnerable members of our community.

The charity gala dinner held on 8th February 2023 was themed “In Pursuit of Excellence – ONERHT Foundation Charity Gala Dinner 2023” and attended by Guest-of-Honour Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health together with more than 400 guests.

Funds raised through the event will be used to support three local charitable healthcare institutions: Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution, Ren Ci Hospital and Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital. Each with its own storied history of service to the community, these three institutions serve thousands of patients every month, regardless of background, race and religion. The funds will enable the three hospitals to expand their services and facilities to support the growing healthcare needs of an ageing population.

Ms Kaylee Kwok, Chairman of ONERHT Foundation, said, “Tackling the challenges of today’s complex world requires the combined effort of various stakeholders from private and public sectors driven by a common purpose for good. We are inspired by the sense of purpose and dedication to selfless service demonstrated by local charitable healthcare institutions. Mr Ng Hoy Keng, President of Chui Huay Lim Club, said, “We hope to continue our collaboration with community groups to organise more cultural and charity events at the Chui Huay Lim Club, bringing vibrancy to the club while leveraging its modern facilities which are open to all.”

Mr Aw Chye Wee, Chairman of Ee Hoe Hean Club, said, “Through its philanthropic members past and present, the Ee Hoe Hean Club has a long history of giving back to the community, including donations for the Tong Chai Medical Hall. It is our hope that we will be able to pass on this spirit of giving to the next generation.”

The gala dinner marks the end of a three-day public exhibition of Chinese paintings and calligraphy artworks by Hong Kong artists Mr Alfred Cheung and Mr Wong Wai Ho. A successful silent auction of the artworks was held during the exhibition at the Chui Huay Lim Club between 6-8 February.

“This was a joint effort made possible by the effort of our co-organisers and the generosity of our donors, sponsors and esteemed artists,” added Ms Kwok.

ONERHT Foundation charity art exhibition at Chui Huay Lim Club looks at the pursuit of excellence in Chinese painting and calligraphy

ONERHT Foundation Ltd, the corporate social responsibility vehicle of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, “ONERHT”), together with its co-organisers Chui Huay Lim Club and Ee Hoe Hean Club, welcomes members of the public to visit its charity art exhibition and appreciate masterful Chinese paintings and calligraphy artworks.

Held at the Chui Huay Lim Club’s Heritage Hall, the exhibition presents Chinese paintings and calligraphy artworks by Hong Kong artists Mr Alfred Cheung and Mr Wong Wai Ho which are up for auction. Successful bidders of these artworks will have the option of converting the artwork into Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), merging the beautiful traditions of Chinese art with cutting edge technology for the certification of authenticity. The service is provided by AlDigi Technologies, a member of the ONERHT ecosystem of multidisciplinary professional services.

The free exhibition opens to the public from 6-8 February, between 10am-6pm. An opening ceremony will be held at 10am on Monday 6 February 2023 at the venue, and the Guests-of-Honour for the opening ceremony would be A/Prof Ho Peng Kee, Patron of ONERHT Foundation, Mr Ng Hoy Keng, President of Chui Huay Lim Club and Mr Aw Chye Wee, Chairman of Ee Hoe Hean Club.

In addition, various Chinese artworks by renowned artists Xu BeiHong (1895 – 1953), Chen Wen Hsi (1906 – 1991), Wang Zhen/Wang YiTing (1867 – 1938) and Lu Yanshao (1909 – 1993) have been lent to the organisers by Mr Yeo Eng Koon for public viewing at the exhibition. A painting by Cultural Medallion Award winner Mr Lee Hock Moh (b. 1947) will also be displayed at the exhibition.

Artists Profile

Mr Alfred Cheung is currently serving as the CEO of APTTPA Co., Ltd. and JC Food Republic Co., Ltd. As a hobby, Mr Cheung devotes himself to the study of Chinese painting art in his spare time. He started learning from Lingnan School renowned painter Rong Shu Shi from middle school, and acquired the know-how of lychee painting, landscape sketches, painting techniques of flowers, plants, birds and animals. He is especially good at painting plum blossoms.

Mr Cheung is also appointed as a director of the Japan Hong Kong Society, consultant of the Japan Hong Kong Society in Tokyo. He has also been a special lecturer for the City University of Hong Kong, giving lectures on refrigeration logistics science and also a Fukuoka MICE ambassador. He is currently a consultant for Tsuruga port as well as marketing ambassador for Fukui Prefecture in Japan and as external advisor to HK Metropolitan University.

Mr Wong Wai Ho is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Hong Kong listed companies i.e. Road King Infrastructure Limited (HK Stock Code: 1098) and Hang Chi Holdings Limited (HK Stock Code: 8405). He is also Chairman of Eminent EIS International Preschool and TransTEch Limited. Since young, Mr Wong has a strong interest in Chinese calligraphy. Over the years, Mr Wong has developed his own unique style and technique and his calligraphy artwork is highly appraised.

ONERHT Foundation’s charity golf event raises more than S$500,000 for disadvantaged groups

ONERHT Foundation Ltd, the corporate social responsibility vehicle of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, “ONERHT”), announced that its charity golf event had raised close to S$560,000 for disadvantaged groups- a core target group of the Foundation’s philanthropic mission.

Funds raised through the charity golf event will be used to support underprivileged families, as well as the elderly and their caregivers, through four local beneficiaries: PCF Sparkle Care Centres, Dementia Singapore Ltd, Life Community Services Society, and ARTDIS (Singapore) Ltd.

Ms Kaylee Kwok, Chairman of ONERHT Foundation, said, “With the strong support of the Foundation’s generous donors and sponsors, we continue to advance the Foundation’s initiatives and programmes across its four core pillars of education, environment and sustainability, disadvantaged groups, as well as arts and sports.”

Almost 250 golfers participated in the charity golf event held over three days on 14, 20 and 28 October 2022 at Sentosa Golf Club which ended with a gala dinner attended by Guest-of-Honour, Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Gan Kim Yong, and more than 180 guests.

In line with its goal of promoting sports, the Foundation entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Singapore Golf Association (SGA). Under the MOU, the Foundation and SGA will collaborate on various projects and outreach programmes to promote golf as a healthy sporting activity.

Mr Eddie Chua, Honorary Treasurer of SGA, said, “We are excited to partner with ONERHT Foundation to collaboratively achieve SGA’s strategic goals for golf in Singapore.”

ONERHT Foundation raises funds for disadvantaged groups in Gentle Bones Charity Concert

Local singer-songwriter Gentle Bones returned to the stage for a good cause in collaboration with ONERHT Foundation Ltd (formerly known as RHT Rajan Menon Foundation Ltd) (Foundation), the corporate social responsibility vehicle of RHTLaw Asia LLP and the RHT Group of Companies (collectively, ONERHT).

Joining him on stage for his last ever concert in Singapore were guest artistes Tay Kewei, Charlie Lim, Linying and Benjamin Kheng who thrilled spectators at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. In a surprise appearance, JJ Lin who was among the spectators also joined in the performance.

Gentle Bones said, “It’s been a great journey since I started my ‘Gentle Bones’ YouTube channel for acoustic covers back in 2010, and I couldn’t have asked for more in my last ever concert in Singapore. By the end of the year, Gentle Bones will no longer be performing or participating in any activities locally, and I’ll be officially retiring Gentle Bones in Singapore.”

The concert was also attended by Guest of Honour Minister for Culture Community and Youth & Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong SC, who noted ONERHT Foundation’s efforts to play a part in supporting an inclusive Singapore.

He said, “The Foundation has done good work over the years, to establish, inspire and encourage a philanthropic culture of giving back to the community among the corporate and legal fraternity. I hope, as ONERHT, they will continue to serve with one heart and one mind, to help the beneficiaries in our community.”

Newly appointed Chairman of the Foundation, Ms Kaylee Kwok, said, “Music brings people together and we are pleased to have presented this charitable collaboration with local musicians for a good cause. In particular, we are very grateful to Gentle Bones for supporting this meaningful event.”

“The Foundation also marks a new chapter following its renaming to reflect its evolution as a common platform for corporate social responsibility and purposeful growth for ONERHT. With the strong support of the Foundation’s donors and sponsors, our Patron and Board of Directors, as well as management, lawyers and staff from across ONERHT, I will continue to advance the Foundation’s initiatives and programmes across its four core pillars of education, the environment and sustainability, disadvantaged groups, as well as the arts and sports,” she added.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank Mr Tan Chong Huat for his mentorship, guidance and encouragement during his tenure as Chairman of the Foundation,” said Ms Kwok.

During the handover ceremony (with Minister Edwin Tong as witness), Mr. Tan had handed over a symbolic Chinese scroll to Ms. Kwok, which read:

English translation: Chong Huat and Kaylee have led the Foundation well, and, Kaylee, who succeeds him shall build on it and bring it to another level of success and splendour.

Proceeds from the charity concert will help support the well-being of those hit hardest by the pandemic, such as underprivileged families, seniors, people with disabilities, and their caregivers.
