HONG KONG, Oct 16, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) – The 45th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and the 28th electronicAsia, organised by the HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd, concluded their physical exhibitions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) today. The four-day concurrent events attracted some 60,000 industry buyers from 142 countries and regions. The number of buyers from Spain, Japan, Brazil and Australia increased on last year, reflecting the status of the fairs as important sourcing platforms for the industry, helping exhibitors expand their international markets and yielding positive business results.

In last month’s Policy Address, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region proposed promoting artificial intelligence (AI) as a core industry for the city’s development. Aligning with this direction, this year’s Autumn Electronics Fair focused on three major areas: AI and Robotics Technology, Digital Entertainment, and the Silver Economy. The fair featured multiple themed zones and professional forums, allowing industry players to showcase innovations and exchange ideas on technology applications, and leveraging Hong Kong’s role as an international business platform to help enterprises seize emerging global opportunities.

Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, said: “Amid the recent unstable global trade environment, the HKTDC has been proactively helping companies with business transformation and injecting momentum into new market exploration. As a stage for showcasing the latest electronic products and innovations, the Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia serve as important platforms for exhibitors to connect and explore collaborations. This year’s fairs welcomed leading Chinese Mainland tech companies from various sectors to present the latest AI and robotics technologies. Using Hong Kong as a springboard to ‘go global’, we have been pleased to see both local and mainland enterprises making successful connections with quality international buyers through the two fairs, further reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a bridge to the global market.”

In late October, the HKTDC will continue to create cross-industry business opportunities by hosting the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo and ECO Expo Asia, Ms Koo added.

Survey reveals 44% of industry insiders are exploring or applying Generative AI

An independent survey agency commissioned by the HKTDC interviewed 1,092 buyers and exhibitors at the Electronics Fair and asked for their views on growth prospects for the industry. 51% of respondents said they expect overall sales to increase in the next 12 to 24 months.

Respondents rated the Middle East (77%), Korea (70%), India (69%) and ASEAN countries (69%) as having very promising or promising growth prospects for products in their target markets in the next two years, while 44% of those surveyed said they have ventured into the exploration or integration of Generative AI technology, with the areas of product design and development (60%), customer service and support (40%) and marketing and advertising (35%) being the most common.

New product launches at Electronics Fair – a starting point for “going global”

This year’s Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia attracted more than 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions around the world. The HKTDC organised 120 buyer delegations from 61 countries and regions to attend the fairs – including renowned global corporations such as Mondial from Brazil, Reichelt Elektronik GmbH from Germany, and Dewalt Mobile Solutions from the United States – highlighting Hong Kong’s strong appeal as an international convention and exhibition hub.

Staying true to its theme, “World’s Leading Electronics Marketplace”, the fair provided a platform for global exhibitors to showcase their latest electronic products, innovation concepts and applications. These included robotics products from leading mainland tech enterprises such as Deep Robotics and BrainCo from “Hangzhou’s Six Little Dragons” in addition to DIGIT, PaXini and LimX from “Shenzhen’s Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence”.

World Quantum Summit 2025 Concludes to a Full House: “Quantum Unboxed” Signals the Next Leap in AI and Industry Transformation

The future arrived today in Singapore as the World Quantum Summit 2025 (WQS) — themed “Quantum Unboxed: Extending the Reach of AI” — concluded at the Sheraton Towers Singapore with a full house attendance filling the ballroom to capacity. The overwhelming turnoutunderscored the growing global appetite for practical quantum solutions that extend the power of artificial intelligence and accelerate its real-world impact.

This year’s summit was not a standalone event but the culmination of a three-day intensive journey into the future of computing and intelligence. On 23–24 September, participants took part in a sold-out Executive Workshop on Quantum and AI, which built foundational understanding of quantum principles, emerging architectures, and integration strategies. The final day brought it all together, showcasing how those concepts are now being deployed in industry — from real-world applications to large-scale investment strategies.

Unlike traditional conferences focused solely on research or theory, WQS 2025 brought together the entire ecosystem driving quantum innovation forward. The summit featured practitioners representing different quantum approaches, policy makers, venture investors, academics, corporates, researchers, and ecosystem partners — all converging under one roof to chart the path from lab breakthroughs to industry-scale adoption. On the exhibition floor, leading players such as ST Engineering, QBoson, and TM Research & Development showcased quantum – enhanced solutions in optimisation, secure computing, and AI acceleration. Meanwhile, Gold Capital Network Partners — IMGT and IWC Management — hosted curated sessions connecting founders and investors to accelerate funding into quantum ventures poised for growth.

A key highlight was the line-up of 19 world-class speakers, each offering cutting-edge insights into how quantum is transforming the AI landscape. Among them were Assoc. Prof. Mile Gu, Deputy Director of the Nanyang Quantum Hub at Nanyang Technological University; Jeremy Woo, Senior Technical Advisor at D-Wave System; Deepak Waghmare, CTO (APJC) of Dell Technologies; Ujjwal Kumar, Principal Architect, Office of the CTO at Microsoft Asia; Dr. Simon See, Senior Director and Global Head of the NVIDIA AI Technology Center; Bruno Aznar Martinez, R&D Software Developer at Keysight Technologies; Raghunath Koduvayur, CEO of RAQS Quantum; Gao Qi, Algorithm Director at QBoson; Ken Chew, CEO and Partner of IWC Management; and Tony Gu, General Partner at NGC Ventures. They were joined by Ong Yongcheng of Insignia Ventures, Dr. Amelia Tan of ST Engineering, Eric Lee of Deloitte Southeast Asia, Atsushi Sugiura of Oxford Quantum Circuits, Hidetoshi Matsumura of Fujitsu Limited, Ray Han of SAP, Duleesha Kulasooriya of Deloitte, Manisha Sharma Kohli of Google, and Simon Lawrie of AWS.

Throughout the summit, a clear narrative emerged: quantum computing has moved beyond theory into strategic deployment, offering a powerful multiplier for AI. Industry leaders showcased case studies where quantum-enhanced AI is already delivering breakthrough results —  from accelerating molecular simulations and optimising financial portfolios to solving supply chainchallenges previously considered intractable. Discussions highlighted how enterprises are integrating quantum capabilities directly into their AI workflows, achieving dramatic improvements in processing power, speed, efficiency, and cost-to-insight.

The summit also reflected the shifting investment landscape. As quantum technologies mature, institutional and venture capital investors are moving rapidly to back companies with commercially viable products and near-term revenue potential. “Quantum is no longer the future —  it’s today’s most powerful strategic edge and already seeing some real applications,” said Ken Chew, CEO of IWC Management. “The confluence of quantum and AI and their cross-synergies are powerful and those who integrate it into their AI stack early will potentially define the competitive landscape of the next decade.”

By the close of the event, one message was clear: quantum will not replace AI — it will supercharge it. With practitioners, investors, policymakers, and researchers now aligned on the urgency of adoption, the era of practical quantum applications is no longer a distant vision — it is here, and it is redefining howindustries think about computation, intelligence, and innovation.

The World Quantum Summit has firmly established itself as Asia’s premier platform for quantum commercialisation, bridging science, industry, and capital to accelerate real-world adoption. With its unique focus on applications over abstraction and its ability to convene the full quantum ecosystem, WQS is not just a conference — it is a catalyst for the next wave of technological transformation.

Professor Lin Xiang Xiong Hosts Landmark Art Exhibition and Peace Prize Ceremony in Paris

Renowned humanitarian-artist Professor Lin Xiang Xiong (“Professor Lin”) and founder of the Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery in Penang, presented his latest exhibition, “The Vicissitudes of Life”, at the historic Hôtel de l’Industrie in Paris from 10 to 13 September 2025.

(L-R) Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former French Prime Minister and founder of Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery, Professor Lin Xiang Xiong

The exhibition received strong support from key French institutions, with former French President François Hollande serving as Honorary Patron, and former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin personally attending the opening. Featuring 25 original works by Professor Lin, the exhibition explored three themes – anti-war, anti-poverty, and anti-pollution – and vividly embodied Professor Lin’s vision of “Art for Peace”, a concept that transcends aesthetics and seeks to inspire moral reflection and intercultural understanding.

Distinguished speakers exchange views on art, culture, and peace during the academic symposium held as part of Professor Lin Xiang Xiong’s exhibition “The Vicissitudes of Life” in Paris.

During the exhibition, a high-level academic symposium was held, bringing together leading international scholars, philosophers, and cultural leaders to reflect on “Intercultural Dialogue at the Crossroads” and “Rebuilding the Concept of Peace through Art.” Distinguished speakers included French writer and human rights activist Marek Halter, eminent philosopher and sinologist François Jullien, intellectual publisher François L’Yvonnet, Swiss curator and sociologist Barbara Polla, special adviser to the President of the Arab World Institute Claude Mollard, cultural diplomacy advisor Yves Marek, and retired French Air Force General Étienne Copel. Throughout the discussions, Professor Lin shared his unique insights on the times, on art, and on the essence of peace, sparking strong resonance and deep dialogue.

On 12 September, the inaugural “Lin Xiang Xiong Art for Peace Prize” ceremony was held with great success. The competition drew 1,883 entries from 100 countries around the world, far exceeding expectations. This overwhelming response underscored the wide recognition of Professor Lin’s “Art for Peace” advocacy, echoing the common aspirations of today’s world. Professor Lin announced that the award will be established as a biennial event, continuing as a major artistic initiative dedicated to peace.

The exhibition and symposium attracted a full house at the historic Hôtel de l’Industrie in Paris.

“This exhibition is more of an awakening of thought than a presentation of art,” said Professor Lin Xiang Xiong. “Every brushstroke is a testimony of time, a silent dialogue between past and present, pain and healing. Whether through the exhibition or the establishment of the Peace Prize, I hope art is not merely for admiration but can truly touch hearts, serve as a bridge between cultures, and awaken the soft conscience deep within humanity.”

Exhibition view of “The Vicissitudes of Life”

The exhibition also marks a milestone in Professor Lin’s artistic journey and heralds the opening of the Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery in Penang, scheduled for mid-December 2025. Covering 8,000 square meters, the gallery will house Professor Lin’s major works and also providing a platform for emerging artists to pursue their dreams. It will stand as one of the largest private art galleries in the region, strengthening Malaysia’s role as a hub of cultural diplomacy and intercultural understanding in Southeast Asia.

Through “The Vicissitudes of Life,” Professor Lin once again demonstrates that art is a messenger of thought and conscience. With clarity, he advocates peace, and as an artist, he chooses his own path – through the soft power of culture, through words, and through his brush – to voice his deep concern for war, pollution, and poverty. With art as his language, he calls upon fellow artists to join his cause, uniting their strength to speak out for peace and the future of humanity.
