Taiwan Excellence Pavilion concludes Medical Fair Asia 2024 with Showcase of Cutting-Edge MedTech Innovations

Over three days from 11 to 13 September 2024, Taiwan Excellence Pavilion showcased Taiwan’s leading medical innovation and cutting-edge solutions, exemplifying the country’s commitment to advanced medical care at Medical Fair Asia 2024. Held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Taiwan’s representation was strong with a contingent of about 90 companies in three separate Taiwan pavilions – Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion and TMBIA Pavilion.

Themed “Shaping the Future with Taiwan’s MedTech Innovation” the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion covered three aspects of Taiwan’s medtech innovations – Diagnostic Innovations, Treatment Innovations, and Innovations in Telemedicine and Digital Health Platforms. Taiwan Excellence Pavilion provided 16 leading Taiwanese companies a platform to reach out not only their trading and medical technology partners in the region but also to fulfil their goal of assisting more people to lead longer, more meaningful and healthier lives with innovative technology.

Taiwan Excellence Pavilion kicked off the three-day event with the Taiwan Excellence Medical Industry Talk on 11 September 2024. Among the leading Taiwanese companies, Acer Medical Inc., V5med Inc., Shennona Co. Ltd, Brain Navi Biotechnology Co., Ltd, and A Plus Biotechnology Co. Ltd., introduced their products and services and discussed the MedTech trends in Taiwan.

Ms. Anna Wu, Director of Taiwan Trade Center Singapore (TAITRA) said, “Taiwan is a frontrunner in medical device innovation, spearheading breakthroughs that improve patient care and transform the healthcare landscape. Building on its expertise in the semiconductor industry, Taiwan has successfully applied advanced technologies and fostered a strong culture of innovation in the biomedical field. Being a part of Medical Fair Asia 2024 helps Taiwanese MedTech companies showcase Taiwan’s leadership in the area.”

Mr. Daniel Lee, Chairman, Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association provided an overview of the development of the Taiwan MedTech industry, “Singapore has always been a key partner for Taiwan in the region, with flourishing bilateral trade and technological cooperation. This presents vast opportunities for Taiwan and Singapore to collaborate in the field of smart healthcare, beyond trade, to include technology transfer, research and development, and joint promotion of medical innovations. Through its participation in Medical Fair Asia, Taiwan Excellence aims to strengthen the enduring ties between Singapore and Taiwan, especially in the medical industry. In 2023, two-way trade between Singapore and Taiwan was worth US$39.2 billion, with Taiwan’s exports to Singapore reaching US$29.7 billion, making Singapore Taiwan’s fifth largest export market.

Medical Fair Asia 2024 saw approximately 1,000 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions, 19 country pavilions, and 14,000 registered visitors over the three-day event.

According to the Singapore Economic Development Board, it is foreseeable that the Asian MedTech market will overtake the EU as the second largest market globally. With Singapore strategically placed, MedTech companies are able to tap into regional resources with the country’s high-value MedTech manufacturing base, innovative R&D ecosystem and hub for new business model innovation, providing a platform for Taiwanese innovators to propel into the international MedTech market.

Taiwan Excellence Unveils Pioneering Medtech Innovation at Medical Fair Asia 2024

Medical Fair Asia 2024 returns for its 15th edition this year, reinventing the marketplace with technology and innovation amidst an evolving landscape. The event will be held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from 11th to 13th September 2024. Exhibited by Taiwan Excellence at booth numbers 2H01-2J08, this year’s Taiwan Excellence Pavilion brings together 16 Taiwanese companies who are leading in innovation and advancement in the medtech industry.

Themed “Shaping The Future with Taiwan’s MedTech Innovations”, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion showcases Taiwan’s leading medical innovation and cutting-edge solutions, exemplifying the country’s commitment to advanced medical care. Visitors, including medical and healthcare organisations and professionals, can experience Taiwanese medical innovation that leverages advanced AI, imaging technologies and more. The main highlight of Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is the Taiwan Excellence Medical Industry Talk on 11 September 2024. Held at the pavilion from 2pm to 4pm, the talk will discuss a range of topics in the medtech industry including AI medical trends, AI smart healthcare solutions, 3D imaging and 3D printing, and surgical navigation robots. Taiwan Excellence Pavillion Fosters Connections in ASEAN and Beyond Through Successful Debut at AT X SG

Excellence in design, quality, Taiwanese R&D, manufacturing and innovation. These attributes of Taiwan Excellence were on full display at the Asia Tech x Singapore (AT x SG) event from 6 to 9 June. The show, which concluded today, saw an array of award-winning technologies in the fields of 5G and smart telecom, security and solutions for enterprises and Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) smart applications from 15 Taiwanese tech brands showcased to over 17,000 attendees from across the globe.

These leading Taiwanese companies including AIFA, Nilvana, PanelSemi, PLANET, MSi, TPI Software, and Z-Com came together for the first time at AT x SG to display solutions ranging from mini LED displays to smart home controllers, and industrial wireless routers.

PanelSemi’s MagiCylinder, the world’s first AM Mini LED direct view display that is flexible, rollable and multi-tiling-able. The MagiCylinder offers low energy consumption and a good cooling system, and is the world’s thinnest at only 1mm thickness.

MSi FUNTORO’s TS Series, a smart and complete solution with a cloud management platform for electric buses. Through the integration of CANBUS and various sensors, the vehicle and driving data are collected and transmitted to the backend platform to allow real-time fleet management and remote monitoring on system devices, driver behaviors, on-duty time and battery efficiency to enhance fleet safety and operation efficiency.

Z-Com’s SP230-S5, an outdoor wireless AP which can operate in point to point, bridge & coverage modes. Based on 802.11ac Wave 2 technology, throughput is up to 1,167Mbps. With built-in high gain antennas & ERIP 38dBm, its coverage can be 400 meters & transmit over 6KM for video streaming at PTP mode.

Taiwan Rides on Post-Pandemic Wave with Taiwan Food World GO Project, Boosting Market Growth in SEA Market

  • MOEA launches NT$200-million (US$6.67 million) program to expand food markets worldwide

As the world progressively leaves the pandemic behind, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has joined hands with Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to ride the waves of the new era with the Taiwan Food World GO Project.

The inaugural event was held at the Hilton Singapore Orchard yesterday and was live-streamed simultaneously across three countries – Korea Republic, Vietnam and Malaysia.

The Taiwan Food World GO Project global event is an NT$200-million (US$6.67 million) project which incorporates a series of marketing activities, through the assistance in funding, international certifications and professional advice, to help Taiwan food manufacturers penetrate overseas markets.

With the Chinese market taking up the majority of Taiwan food product sales, Taiwan plans to diversify its markets further, eyeing increased market shares in Asian, North American, European and Oceanian markets to raise export volumes, with MOEA and TAITRA hoping that this project will help Taiwanese food manufacturers reach up to 50,000 overseas consumers.

TAITRA’s Smart Manufacturing Webinar a Success, Captures Worldwide Buyer Attention

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) announced excellent results achieved at the Taiwan Smart Manufacturing: Webinar & Trade Meeting on September 17. The Webinar captured the attention of buyers worldwide, especially in Europe and Southeast Asia.

Taiwan’s smart machinery industry has integrated precision manufacturing technology with innovative information and communication technology to provide total solutions for advanced manufacturing.
