Doubleview Gold Corp. Provides Drilling Update on Hat Project Exploration

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (GERMANY: A1W038) (referred to as the “Company” or “Doubleview”) is pleased to announce recent progress at its Hat Project. Following the Company’s winter program of data compilation and interpretation, and a spring program of camp improvements, a series of drill holes are being directed to parts of the main Lisle Zone. Thus far, drill holes H052 and H053, located in the middle-west part of the deposit have been completed. These holes were positioned to confirm continuity within that area and were successful in validating our model. Both drill holes intersected sulphide mineralization, including sections of very strong chalcopyrite and very strong pyrite mineralization that has historically been associated with significant gold content.

Holes H052 and H053 were drilled from the same collar location as holes H049, H050, and H051. H052 was drilled at azimuth 135 degrees, dip -60o and total length 540 m; hole H053, at 105o, dip -70and total length 441 m. These drill holes encountered chalcopyrite, pyrite and magnetite and confirm the west continuity of the Lisle Zone. Drill cores are being processed at the HAT camp and core samples will be transferred to Dease Lake and securely trucked to an accredited laboratory located in North Vancouver, British Columbia for expedited analysis.

Farshad Shirvani, Doubleview President and CEO commented “The current drill program is designed to maximize the results and quality of the NI43-101 resource estimate that is currently in progress for the HAT deposit.”

Mr. Shirvani stated, “Many countries around the world are increasingly seeking critical metal supplies from North America, where high demand and an impending shortage have been predicted. Notably, the United Kingdom and South Korea have demonstrated their interest in securing these critical metals from the United States and, and the Government of British Columbia respectively, signifying the anticipated surge in market demand.”

“Doubleview’s Hat project is endowed with a substantial number of these critical metals, which places Doubleview and our investors in a truly advantageous position.”

The Company’s exploration program continues, and updates will be provided as further information becomes available.

Doubleview Resumes Diamond Drilling Exploration at Hat Project

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (GERMANY: A1W038) (the “Company or “Doubleview”) is pleased to announce that it has resumed exploration drill program at its 100% owned HAT project, a polymetallic project located in Northwest British Columbia. The deposit definition and exploratory drilling program is planned to delineate the mineralization of the polymetallic Hat porphyry deposit. The Company is well funded for the 2023 field season.

President and CEO, Mr. Farshad Shirvani stated: “We are excited to be back at the project to continue drilling. The very successful programs of the past years have further strengthened our understanding of the project and its geology. With confidence we are exploring the western and eastern parts of the Lisle zone which I believe will expand the deposit. In addition, we are planning to drill the unexplored southern extension. The perimeters are being examined in accordance with the geological and mineralization model devised by our team of experienced geologists. However, the recent drilling efforts have not accurately defined the boundaries of the deposit.

The Hat Project is a large alkalic copper-gold porphyry-type deposit located in northwestern British Columbia that since 2011 has been explored by Doubleview utilizing technical surveys and diamond drilling operations. Hat Property surveys and drilling have been largely directed to the Lisle copper-gold-cobalt-scandium mineral zone. Principal minerals are chalcopyrite, pyrite and magnetite hosted in volcaniclastic and gabbroic formations. The Lisle Zone has indicated dimensions of approximately 2.7 km by 1.7 km and is still being delimited laterally and at depth.

Cautionary Note: Although a mineral resource estimation is currently being prepared by an independent engineering firm, no mineral resources have been estimated at the Hat Property and there is no assurance that further work will result in the Lisle Zone, or other zones if present, being classified as mineral resources.

Doubleview Reports Hat Project Copper Equivalent Disclosures; Will Now Include Recoverable Copper, Gold, Cobalt and Scandium

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (FSE: A1W038) (the “Company or “Doubleview”) is pleased to announce that following discussions with the Company’s technical advisors regarding metallurgical matters related to its Hat Project, assay results will be reported as Copper Equivalent (“CuEq”) which will include gold, cobalt and scandium in addition to copper.

Doubleview’s Hat Project metallurgical studies have been managed by EUR ING Andrew Carter B.Sc. CEng. MIMMM, MSAIMM SME of Tetra Tech, Geo-Environment & Mining Services. The Hat Project is located in the Atlin Mining District of northwestern British Columbia.

Table 3 presents drill core assay and Copper Equivalent values for copper, gold, cobalt, and scandium. Copper Equivalent values also recognize recoverability of metals and metal prices. Assay data included in Table 3 has been previously released. Future drilling, metallurgical work, and modeling may result in different outcomes. Metal prices and markets are highly variable and current estimates may differ from those realized in future.

Inclusion of scandium in Hat Project Copper Equivalent values significantly increases the CuEq figures.

The Hat Property is interpreted to be a silica-undersaturated alkalic copper-gold porphyry system similar to other metal-rich porphyry systems in the Golden Triangle area of British Columbia. Industry practice is to disclose copper-gold porphyry systems on either a copper or gold equivalency basis. As presently interpreted, Doubleview’s technical team recognizes two significant mineralizing events: scandium appears to be associated with an early stage of intrusion and mineralization that was followed by a higher temperature intrusive event that brought copper and other metals.

– The Company’s exploration work has been based on a conceptual model in which the copper and gold values support a potential mine at the Hat Property. Scandium would act as a high value credit from the operation.

Metal values shown in Table 1 used in Copper Equivalent estimations follow guidance provided by Energy, Metals and Agriculture Consensus Forecasts(R) for 2023 and 2024.

Table 1: Metal prices (Source: Energy, Metals and Agriculture Consensus Forecasts(R) for 2023 and 2024)
https://www.acnnewswire.com/docs/Multimedia/20230419.Doubleview1.jpg

Copper Equivalent is a calculated single-value composite of possibly economically recoverable metals and is widely used in the evaluation of early-stage mineral properties. CuEq estimates should not be unduly relied upon in any current evaluation of Hat Project mineralization. Doubleview’s CuEq estimates employ the following equation:

=(Ag(g/t) x Price_Ag x Rec_Ag/31.1035 + Au(g/t) x Price_Au x Rec_Au/31.1035 + Co(%) x Price_Co x Rec_Co x 22.0462 + Cu(%)x Price_Cu x Rec_Cu x 22.0462 + Sc(g/t) x Price_Sc x Rec_Sc x Sc_con) / (Price_Cu x 22.0462)

[Note: Rec stands for recovery as per table 2]

Current technical studies and research consider production of a high-gold, low-cobalt concentrate and a low-gold, high-cobalt pyrite concentrate, followed by a scandium recovery circuit that would process end-product tailings. Scandium in tailings could be purified to yield scandium phosphate, a high value specialized product*, or scandium oxide, a much lower value commodity. The Company has chosen scandium oxide for its CuEq estimation as it has broader industrial applications.

*Scandium phosphate is usually sold in small quantity – high purity five gram lots at about $35 per gram. Demand is limited with sale prices usually not disclosed.

Flotation and extraction test work has shown that the following recoveries can be achieved.

– CuEq=(Ag(g/t) x Price_Ag x Rec_Ag/31.1035 + Au(g/t) x Price_Au x Rec_Au/31.1035 + Co(%) x Price_Co x Rec_Co x 22.0462 + Cu(%)x Price_Cu x Rec_Cu x 22.0462 + Sc(g/t) x Price_Sc x Rec_Sc x Sc_con) / (Price_Cu x 22.0462)
– Sc to Sc2O3 Conversion is 1.533

Doubleview Provides Update on HAT Project 2021 and 2022 Drill Data

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (FSE: 1D4) (“Doubleview”) is pleased to provide additional information regarding outstanding analytical information from its 2021 four drill-hole program that totalled 2,476 meters. Assay results will be released in the near future. Furthermore, analytical results from Doubleview’s 2022 drill program that comprised 8 holes with total length 3,433 metres, are being received from the laboratory and will be released as soon as they have been compiled and verified. To date, Doubleview has drilled 51 holes at the HAT deposit totalling more than 20,750 meters.

The Company’s robust quality assurance – quality control (“QA/QC”) process, which among other things, tracks the chain of custody of drill samples, after many delays, in consultation with the independent assay lab, determined that some of the 2021 samples were lost. Although the entire transfer route from the property to the lab was re-evaluated and double-checked and to ensure that the samples were not simply mislaid or misdirected, the exact cause of the loss was not identified.

When 2022 property work began, missing core intervals were re-sampled by re-sawing the remaining half-cores. The replacement samples thus were quarter cores. The Company may consider re-drilling the drill holes in question at a future date but it has been determined that is not necessary at this point.

Following this serious failure of sample custody, the Company’s QA/QC procedures were thoroughly reviewed and even further strengthened and were in effect during the 2022 drill program.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Hat Project drill core handling procedures were developed to ensure the integrity of data. Cores are delivered securely to a central processing facility where, after being photographed, weighed, measured and logged, they are halved by sawing with one half sent for analysis and one-half retained for future reference. Individual sample lengths vary and are based on geologic characteristics as determined by the on-site geologist. The stream of samples sent to the lab includes blank, duplicate and certified reference samples. Samples are bagged individually, weighed and placed in labelled rice bags for transfer to an ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards compliant analytical lab. The lab is independent of Doubleview and maintains rigorous internal monitoring procedures to ensure reliability of assay and analytical results.

Samples were analysed for gold by fire assay with atomic absorption finish 48 other elements by four acid digestion with ICP-MS finish.

Doubleview’s 2022 drill program comprised of 8 drill holes totalling 3,433 meters. Analytical results are currently arriving from the laboratory and will be released as soon as they have been compiled and verified.

Doubleview Provides Update on Milestone 56% Scandium Phosphate Recovery in First Phase Metallurgical Testing at the HAT Deposit

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (FSE: 1D4) (“Doubleview”) is pleased to provide additional information regarding the metallurgical process and significance of achieving 56% scandium (“Sc”) recovery to a scandium phosphate precipitate, in the first attempt of sequential purification of HAT deposit flotation tailings. The HAT Copper-Gold-Scandium-Cobalt deposit is located in the Golden Triangle region of the Atlin Mining District in British Columbia.

Initial independent laboratory tests completed by Coffey, Tetra Tech were designed to demonstrate the validity of the underlying process chemistry. Achieving 56% Sc recovery shows that primarily, the response to the treatment program was predictable and as anticipated.

Expectations are that scandium recoveries in the range of 80% to 90% will ultimately be achievable with further process development and optimisation. Production of a phosphate lends itself to the solution purification scheme currently under test. Once recovered, scandium can be converted to other forms. Alternative treatment strategies are also being considered.

EUR ING Andrew Carter B.Sc. CEng. MIMMM, MSAIMM SME of Coffey, Tetra Tech noted “Even at moderate recoveries, the HAT deposit has the potential to meet international demand for scandium for the foreseeable future. As scandium is a by-product of a waste stream, recovery is not the fundamental driver, cost is. If it can be demonstrated that scandium can be recovered at an acceptable cost, then scandium has the potential to add significant value to the HAT deposit. A techno-economic evaluation for the production of scandium as a by-product of HAT copper-gold production will be evaluated on conclusion of the test work phase.”

Mr. Carter also noted that “Reported recovery rates for other projects, either in planning or under development, are 76.2% at the Flemington Project on the low end, and 88.0% at the Syerston Project on the upper end. This positions the potential for Doubleview’s HAT deposit favourably as it is targeting an 80-90% recovery rate, however it is noted that other scandium projects currently under consideration are treating laterites.

Farshad Shirvani, President and CEO stated “Current research has shown, that scandium is a unique metal which, when combined with certain other metals, significantly enhances the strength of the alloy while also reducing its weight. This results in lighter and stronger materials that can potentially be essential for a wide range of products where efficiency is crucial. The HAT property is among the few mineral bodies in North America that contain significant amount of scandium.”

Scandium is associated with crustal rocks and mafic and utra-mafic lithologies such as amphiboles and pyroxenes (in particular clinopyroxene) and so is primarily associated with the tails stream of a conventional copper flotation process employed in the treatment of a porphyry ore. In a fully integrated process, the HAT deposit could produce a high-gold, low-cobalt copper concentrate and a low-gold, high-cobalt pyrite concentrate. The pyrite concentrate could be used to produce acid for the recovery of cobalt from roaster calcines and scandium from flotation tails.

Doubleview Achieves Initial 56% Scandium Recovery in First Metallurgical Test of Hat Deposit Flotation Tailings – Potentially the First Major Source of Scandium in N. America

Doubleview Gold Corp. (TSXV: DBG) (OTCQB: DBLVF) (FSE: 1D4) (“Doubleview”) is pleased to announce that its first attempt at recovering scandium in a sequential purification process has recovered 56% (fifty six percent) of scandium in tailings from its Hat Copper, Gold, Cobalt property. Scandium was recovered as a phosphate precipitate by treating flotation tailings extraction solution from metallurgical test work on Hat mineralization. The Hat property is located in the Golden Triangle region of Atlin Mining District, Northern British Columbia.

Scandium phosphate is a high value product that currently trades for approximately $35 per 1 gram lot, in comparison to gold which currently trades at approximately $60 per gram.

Earlier scandium extraction test work aimed at the recovery of scandium from Hat deposit flotation tailings demonstrated that it was possible to extract 90% of scandium to solution by employing a sulphate leach at elevated temperatures.

Test work has now moved into the scandium recovery-optimization phase, with sequential purification for the removal of iron and aluminium followed by precipitation of scandium as a phosphate product. Although 56% (fifty six percent) of scandium was recovered to a phosphate precipitate at the first attempt, test work to improve recovery and purity is continuing, including sequential purification, precipitate washing, phosphate purity, and recovery.

President and CEO Farshad Shirvani stated, “The discovery of a deposit with potential deliverables of scandium, cobalt, copper, and gold by Doubleview is a significant achievement for the company, its shareholders, and North America as a whole. Of particular significance is the potential for scandium, as the USA imports 100% of its scandium consumption. This landmark discovery has the potential to expand the use of scandium in a variety of applications, one of which is its ability to enhance the energy capacity, stability, and safety of nickel-metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries commonly used in electric vehicles and consumer electronics.”

Mr. Shirvani further stated, “The integration of Scandium into aluminum alloys can lead to a stronger and lighter material than steel, which is essential for the automobile and aerospace industries. As the demand for energy-efficient vehicles continues to grow, the use of scandium aluminium alloy, with high percentages of scandium, provides a solution to the challenge of heavy energy consumption and limited infrastructure capacity. The shift towards ever lighter materials will require adoption by global industry of new techniques and materials.”

Mr. Shirvani concluded by highlighting, “The discovery of this deposit has the potential to revolutionize various industries and provides a new opportunity for the use of scandium. This discovery has the potential to create a significant impact on the industry.”

Further metallurgical testing for Scandium phosphate optimization and purification continues and updates will be provided as they become available.
