Christian Kohler Becomes New CCO at crop.zone

Marketing Expert joins the executive team at crop.zone – the specialist for herbicide-free weed control.

Kohler will provide extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development to further drive crop.zone’s international growth, being responsible for all sales and marketing operations at the company.

Kohler has over 20 years of management experience in international sales, marketing and business development. Having worked as International Senior Director and Management Consultant at large leading OEMs such as CNH Industrial, BMW Group, and Mercedes Benz as well as at leading Tech-Scaleups from Germany, he expanded their businesses on an international level. His great passion for agricultural businesses led him to spend more than 10 years adding value to the industry. At the IE Business School, one of the world’s leading Business Schools, he teaches young and senior executives as an associated sales and marketing professor. crop.zone GmbH has been growing rapidly in recent years, with its innovative technology allowing farmers to reduce herbicide use up to 80%. Australian crop protection and specialty seed company, Nufarm and German ag-tech start-up, CROP.ZONE are announcing the launch of NUCROP – Hybrid Electric Crop Protection. Through its Early Adopters Program, the competitive and sustainable alternative for weed management is now available to Farmers and Contractors in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The NUCROP solution combines chemical and physical processes to create a compelling and sustainable method of weed control. By pre-treating plants with conductive liquid, acceptable for organic use, and then applying electrical charge, the solution can control weeds with a very high degree of efficiency and lower energy consumption than conventional weeding technologies.

In the Early Adopters program, Nufarm and CROP.ZONE team up with selected channel partners in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands and offer farmers and contractors access to NUCROP technology. Nufarm and CROP.ZONE Announce Cooperation to Bring Alternative Weed Control to Major European Markets

The Australian crop protection and specialty seed company, Nufarm and the German AgTech startup, CROP.ZONE have entered into a cooperation agreement. The collaboration aims for launching Nufarm and CROP.ZONE’s hybrid herbicide solutions across major European markets, starting with the implementation of an early adopters program for the 2021 season in Benelux and Germany from 2021 onwards.

The innovative, patented solutions complement existing, synthetic herbicides, providing farmers a competitive and sustainable alternative for weed management, contributing to yield optimization and farm profitability while contributing to sustainability goals.
