Wiz Acquires Raftt, Bolsters CNAPP Offering for Cloud and Kubernetes Developers

  • Cloud security provider grows its platform with acquisition of Raftt, deepening platform support for shift-left initiatives

Cloud security leader Wiz has acquired Raftt, a cloud-native platform for developer collaboration. Recently, Wiz expanded its Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) to empower developers. Today’s acquisition further enhances Wiz’s Secure Cloud Development capabilities, which enable developers to build securely across the software development lifecycle.

Wiz’s CNAPP – which is ranked #1 by customers and used by 40% of the Fortune 100 – already has a strong developer base: more than 50% of Wiz users sit outside the security function, reflecting the reality of how cloud security operations have become democratized. The addition of the Raftt team will allow Wiz to move even faster as the company continues to build and enhance its industry-leading platform, allowing security and development teams to proactively reduce their attack surface from build time to run time.

Wiz Announces New CNAPP Capabilities for Secure Cloud Development

Cloud security provider launches shift-left features and an extension that delivers insight directly from cloud platform interface

Today, Wiz is announcing new developer-focused capabilities for its Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). With this news Wiz, which works with 40% of the Fortune 100 and is ranked #1 by customers, deepens support for developers and empowers them to apply industry-trusted security practices across the SDLC.

More than 50% of Wiz users today are outside of the security function. This statistic underscores the integral role Wiz already plays in the lives of its developer customers. Now Wiz is strengthening that relationship with purpose-built secure cloud development capabilities that include code scanning, image integrity, cloud to code remediation, and in-cloud SBOM. Furthermore, the company’s new Wiz extension drives further value for developers by enabling them to understand risk efficiently and simply – right from their AWS Console. Wiz Launches AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM)

Cloud security provider announces new capabilities for securing AI, enabling customers to accelerate innovation while minimizing cloud risk

Wiz today announces the addition of Wiz for AI Security to its Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). This move makes Wiz the first ever CNAPP to include AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) capabilities, and comes amidst explosive AI adoption.

As companies capitalize on the transformative power of this technology, they must also embed security into every part of the AI pipeline. Wiz Research has found that over 62% of organizations are using at least one AI cloud service, and the trajectory shows no signs of slowdown.
